Is it surprising Khan, Hatton, Brook etc leave?

Deep down Burns wants the fights, he is capable to winning them, why won't anyone do anything? History will remember Burns not in the same light as Ken or Jim.

I think Burns is probably torn between loyalty to Allegedly, who had guided his career pretty much expertly to the Katsidis fight - a couple of disappointing defences aside..... and the potential to make big money elsewhere.

From his point of view, he'd ideally have the best of both worlds, but it's not going to happen.

Burns isn't ever going to be a household name in the way Hatton was, capable of making big bucks fighting turds in his home town.... so the approach has to be different.

I attribute a small part of the blame to Burns. The kid is far, far too nice. He needs to give ****** a kick up the backside.

The thing with Burns' situation at the moment which is frustrating for me is that the other three champions at the weight are all winnable fights for him. Demarco, Vasquez, Abril and Ricky are all evenly matched skillwise IMO and he could feel confident against any if given the chance I reckon. DeMarco would've been the easiest of the lot I think but Broner's beaten him to it.

He's had a good run at Lightweight in my opinion but it would look a lot better with a unification fight on it. The Vasquez fight would be brilliant IMO and is one I'd love to see but it remains to be seen whether ****** is really interested in stepping him up in class or not.

This Walsh fight shouldn't be for the belt. It's a sad indictment on the current state of the sport that he's been given this opportunity.

Liam Walsh can't even open up Ricky Burns Christmas presents.

Liam must think all of his Christmases have come at once with this fight.

I hope he springs a shock and sends all those deluded obsessed Ricky Burns fanboys home humbled!

    WAR BRADLEY WALSH!!!! :ibutt

The loyalty is almost all for Alex Morrison, and it's him who's loyal to Fishy.

No need to spazz out with multiple posts but I agree - 80s cheese Batman over "dark REALISTIC(?)" Batman any day.

On topic, Burns is being steered very carefully, although as he isn't quite the cash cow that Hatton and the ilk were, I think he'll be "thrown to the wolves" sooner rather than later, and I'll beleive he'll prove a few people wrong!

    AHA!

Cheers BB, explained beautifully. I bet this guy has been told he looks like that fella, cos he pulls the same manic grin all the time, & weirdly enough, I always felt it was a fake smile... its funny how in life little things can link up! Me posting on brit ESB to knowing a guy who tries to mimic a psycho character, lovely! Its going to be hard not trying to laugh the next time I have the misfortune of meeting him:lol:

As for batman... Im old enough to remember watching re-runs of the old american tv show with the camp versions, & Micky from Rocky as the penguin! So its always been tough for me to see batman as the complete opposite, but having had the misfortune to see the TV show again a year or so ago, I was horrified to see how awful it was! So I am going to watch through the Batman films starting with the Jack Nicholson one. The clip has intrigued me:yep
