And that is what Fishy will be telling Ricky to try and talk him out of agreeing to fight in the States where Fish can't win purse bids.

As for leaving him,it sounds great in practice but you have to understand the dynamics of the relationship between Ricky and Alex Morrison.
But sadly that means a split and/or Ricky leaving is unlikely.I'm not even sure he's the type to accept an offer from GBP if it was forthcoming.
He's just not the type.Pretty sure he'd never leave Glasgow.

Fighters don't need W-arren, W-arren needs the fighters and the moment it goes stale, he treats them like sh*t and tries everything to get something back. Tony Bellew, prime example. W-arren lures them in like, like, erm like, Jimmy Saville. Brings the young fighters in, gives them a bit of a payday thinking they have made it, and Uncle Frank is the best!

And then as soon as the fighter feels something is up, it turns sour quicker than milk.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, young scottish ass, tatts aswell! Ooooooooo the things I'd do to that! I even pulled my trousers up to my earholes, I wonder if he noticed me? Just you wait till I get my dominatrix out in the dressing room, I'll be impossible for Ricky to resist.............

Watching Morales go down like that almost had me in tears. He's a fighter who would take harder shots than that in a semi tough bout back in his prime and come back with more.l You could see his heart trying to fight at a level which his body couldnt keep up with. I remember reading a fantastic article over on BBanter but one of the members about Morales taking the title as a young champion as the old champ was looking ...well....old!

I just wanna say thanks to El Terible for all the great fights he's given us over the years. Anyhow, what were we talking about.........lol

To be fair, if team burns said "ok lets fight but its not for the title" then the abuse would be flying all over the place

I don't why your all surprised we all knew he would fight someone of this level in December gearing up for a fight in March/April against hopefully an elite fighter

I don't know mate.Guys like Arguello used to have non-title bouts all the time.
It would have vindicated this particular fight IMO

Too many posters on here, good ones at that, getting their panties in a wad about this fight....Ive just been perusing the record of the greatest lightweight of all time, it makes interesting reading. The real problem with this match-up is that its for a world title.

ice.we all know world champs are allowed to have easy fights or defenses, but they all have had hard fights with a few credible world class fighters 1st to test them.
And i also think that the underdog should always have a shot at a world title,i think a british champ should, but walsh aint even british title holder, which in all honesty is in much higher esteem than the commonwealth or a wbo euro belt bollocks.

The only close to stand out name on Durans slate prior to the Buchanan fight is Kobayashi and Rocky retired him. Prior to and after his world title punt he was fighting saturday night specials on a regular basis...anyone ever hear of Panchito Munez, Juan Medina or Lupe Ramirez??, no, me neither. I haven't got a problem with this at all as a fighter has to maximise his revenue wherever he can, its a short career...I don't have a problem with the Walsh fight on this basis but I do have a problem with it being for a strap.

If Burns was fighting on a proper platform you could build the Broner fight into a mini Hatton vs Mayweather, but being on Box Nation means nobody gives a ****.

Clearly Mitchell losing so badly dented rematch plans.

Looks like they are feeding Walsh to Burns to squeeze more gullible scottish pounds!

But Boxnation viewers have to lump it, as they have already payed.

True, but he hardly immediately built on that win did he? He just went back to fighting regularly and earning a crust against less than stellar opposition. If Duran was in that position today he would get absolutely ragged for fighting the standard of opposition that he did, especially later on in his career between title fights. He was just topping up the coffers, nothing wrong with that.
