RD7 - more of the same. Fight followed the same pattern from RD1. Gomez brave as always. Burns just too cute. Gomez was finished with 8 straight punches. Burns too young, fast and cute, but as always, big respect to Michael Gomez for making yet another action packed fight.

I'm becoming a fan of Burns. Kid fights really well and has all the fundamentals. Nice long jab, really tall for the weight and uses his height and reach well. Lovely flowing combinations. He's improved inside a lot also, he never used to be a big bodypuncher but he varies it now.

Wish he had a little more natural power.

quality finish from Burns, he showed his strength in pushing gomez against the ropes and didn't miss with any punches at the end, impressed.

not at all, it takes from khans resume and chin once again

gomez landed loads of left hooks similar to the one he floored khan with and burns didnt budge

how clean he was hitting Gomez it should have been finished quicker if he had good power it would have been finished very early

:good That's what I meant though might have phrased it badly.

Gomez was at his optimum weight tonight but received what sounds like a one-sided beating.

Burns was more impressive than Khan. Burns hit him just as much but did a far more convincing job defensively and didn't look as vulnerable.

He looked stunned briefly, stung to the body a little, nothing too much. Khan was decked and hobbling around the ring like he'd been kicked in the balls after the bodyshots.

Good from Burns. I'd like to see him fight Mitchell, he'd have a good chance.

Burns doesnt have big power. Burns fought the pretty much perfect fight tonight.

Like Burns i'm a Glaswegian. But i love seeing Gomez. It's such a shame he's pretty much completely shot

Gomez interview - basically said he put his all into that fight, but he now realises his all is no longer enough. He wants a quick easy 2 fights to bring his winning tally up to 50 and then he'll retire. He was hurting but said

"There aint gonna be no tears"

You could see Gomez was taking a knee.

The stoppage was coming but I dont think there was the right moment.

    I don't agree with this.

I think he'd beat Cook, Cook has pathetic punch resistance. I think he was lucky he met that version of Arthur. Mitchell is very very easy to hit, don't underestimate that. I wouldn't rule out him getting outboxed by Burns, even money fight.
