I'm really, really proud of Evensen's efforts in this fight.
I had it 117-111 for Burns... but, of course, I'm Norwegian and may be a little biased when it comes to this particular match.

Evensen is only 24, and has just two defeats at this point in his career.
Those two are nothing to be ashamed of either:
#1 is against Benoit Gaudet, who again has only been defeated twice. His first loss, against Henry Arjona, was avenged in the very next fight, and the second was against Humberto Friggin' Soto. Most people lose against Humberto Soto. Gaudet seems to be tough to beat.
#2 is against Ricky Burns, who fought at home with a fantastic crowd supporting him, coming off a spectacular win against a top opponent, in a FOTY candidate. Oh, and Burns is ranked #2 in the World by Ring Magazine.

I'm very, very interested in Evensen's future, and if he manages to stay as intense as he was against Burns, I could see him defeat many a top-tier opponent in his weight class.

Hats off to Burns, too. This was a good victory for him, and I believe it showed that his last win was no fluke.
