Camacho reminds me a bit of Alexei Collado.

He is long and loose and has a style that looks the business when taking on the dregs with no athleticism or craft, but then when challenged by someone with even remotely useful power, timing, or skill the illusion falls apart.

:conf I wish I could pass on the secret, and not have to do it myself anymore. This is extremely stressful , I don't think I've enjoyed a live boxing match since 2009.

    Round 4

Simmons is reaching up high and tickling Camacho over the right eye with the left jab as Camacho backpedals with casual steps, rolling heels over toes. Simmons is finding Camacho leaning instead of moving with that upper-altitude left hook, elbow never falling below the neckline plane. Camacho is landing a few light right jabs while bouncing around, but only barely and little else. Simmons has a swollen eye.

    10-9 Simmons, tight

    38-38

Camacho is doing what he did in the Conquest fight but without the knockdowns to warrant his complacency/low workrate.

Everytime Camacho lands those lefts to the body Simmons is seemingly feeling them.

    Round 5

Simmons is catapulting the right hand up from the guard at his chin, knocking Camacho's head back. Camacho tosses a light 1-2 into Simmons' guard, briefly keeping him on the ropes, backed off by an overhand right. Simmons is grinding in, letting Camacho brush his dome with the right jab and doubling a pawing left jab in past it, their arms crossing. Lefts downstairs by Camacho, shooting the right jab up haphazardly to disguise it and to disrupt Simmons' offense.

    10-9 Camacho, very close.

    48-47 Camacho

    Round 6

Simmons is crabbing in, short with the left jab, never entering the strike zone. Camacho is flicking out longer jabs, dusting Simmons' crown with it. Simmons is pushing the left jab out as though operating a lever with resistance exceeding his own mass, straining to keep his arms up and moving with proper form. His right hand falls woefully short, mistimed, as Camacho jabs and circles.

    10-9 Camacho

    58-56 Camacho

So far so mediocre, this. :conf

I am every bit as nonplussed with both as I was heading in, and this is hardly a stuff of legend type of battle.

It has accentuated the worst traits of both men, actually. (none of it anything new)
