Ricky was really outclassed, lost first 6 rounds easily, was getting beat for pace, movement, combination punches then guy breaks his wrist, until then I am afraid Ricky was totally outclassed
Think of it this way. I know you don't even lift, but I'm sure you've played at least some kind of sport, right? I'd say you probably know more about it than someone who hasn't played it. You're most likely from the UK so I'll assume you know more than me about cricket and rugby or whatever you do over there. I've boxed for about 5 years and been pretty hardcore into following the sport for about 7. On the other hand, I've never played American football or even Madden, so when people who have more exposure and experience in that sport talk about it and give their opinions I tend to not disagree with them because I have zero basis for doing so since I DKSAF. Boxing on the other hand, I know some stuff about. The fact that you think quitting or giving up would even cross Burns' mind halfway through the fight just because he was losing shows that you have a romanticized view of the sport that only an outsider could have. This is why I have a problem with all the credit Burns is getting for TRYING. It's not ****ing kindergarten, it's his job to try and he doesn't get extra credit for it. Trying to win even when you're losing isn't the mark of a champion, it's the mark of an athlete. :hi:
Heres a question..... For somebody who thinks they know the game and shouts his mouth off constantly,WTF does is your Vcash total only 75 ? Did all the fighters you bet on quit ? CLOWN
just watched the fight late last night .burns aint **** , i thought this guy was suppose to be good, he looks average fighter too me. i bet demarco can tear him up
He will avoid the top 5 as long as possible. Although he may be able to hang with Demarco, as he has probably been shown to be the slowest, weakest and least skilled. Hard to tell though, as Burns is rather slow and not that great of a puncher. Remember, this was supposed to be a "tuneup" for Broner. Think he needs a few more(tuneups).
We'll see soon wont we, we will see how good the hailed Abril,Vasquez and Broner are and how bad Burns is when they fight Lets also see how the other so called top fighters handle Gonzalez in the future
lol @ people who are right? Thats exactly what he was, his legs never recovered from taking that uppercut in the 7th, it's why he quit against his corners wishes. Great heart from Burns to win the fight after losing 6 if the first 7 rounds also finishing the 7th round the stronger man, cant praise him enough for that
Listen, the injury did not end the fight, his legs and fatigue did, the injury is just his get out to try and save face, anyone who wanted to win the belt would have continue to the end even with a broken hand/wrist He knew he wasn;t gonna last, his legs never recovered after the upper cut from Burns in round 7, watch it back, notice Burns ends that round on top, notice between rounds they are working his legs, Burns is strionger in 8 and wins the round and stalks him all of 9 and wins the round He was gassed and his legs weren;t all there, if he continued he was only gonna lose the last 3 rounds or even get stopped, he should still have tried to see it through Burns is always in top condition, he won the fight due to this and his heart, he would have gone the 12 if roles were reversed
I stopped betting with vcash last year I think. On real bets I've taken $300 to over 1k last month, then lost half of it on Saturday. I'll be sure to start using vcash so I can have some credibility with you. :deal You clearly know these things and aren't speculating at all :rasta I'll say this for Gonzalez: I broke my hand last year and the first thing that happened was I got major chills, little dizzy, and felt like I needed to throw up. If I had been in a fight I would have been 100% done, and that's a minor hand break, not a wrist. I'd like to see how bad his injury actually was.
