I'll concede that he was a decent opponent, but he was basically the type of guy who has been brought over to these shores for all of Frank's WBO champs - a former 'champ' who hasn't really shone/performed in a while. Moses wasn't quite as cynical a choice of opponent as someone like Wayne Braithwaite, but nor was he dangerous as a Byron Mitchell - just another marketable opponent with a pretty record.

 

I was mostly on the General at that point,and there was a late swing from many fans and journalists towards Mitchell.
I'm sure you'll find a thread from the general with an overwhelming majority for Burns but since you're in a researching mood,let's not restrict it to ones that you know the outcome of.
Are you really saying there wasn't a late swing towards Mitchell?
A lot of late money went on him.No way was it an overwhelming majority during fight week.

 

I agree to a point mate.I'm not saying he was a P4P'r but he was a solid opponent coming after a fight Ricky was expected to lose.
My only gripe is people saying he's a bum when he's not.

 

I'll admit I wouldn't know about the opinions on the general. These days I only ever go there to have a laugh at Bailey.
