Wow, surely Dean Powell can find somebody in the WBO top 15! He's a super-feather!!

 

Its like Calzaghe all over again, only difference is Burns isn't a arrogant showboating **** and I like him.

 

One of the main problems I have with this fight is the actual TKO thats missing off his record. Simple lacks the teakness to be allowed to come over and get stopped in a British leisure centre.

 

A understand the frustration but he gotta just beat who in front of him and hope FW is in talks with boner..... wishful thinkin but cud be..... fuk knows. What does ricky/billy do then now boys, every **** pelts them but wit can they do bout it

 

This is disappointing... its only a fight to keep him busy and is short notice so he gets a pass on this one from me.

Hopefully the next fight is respectable. He needs to seriously consider his promotional options if its not.

Most reasonable posters don't give Ricky/Billy any grief. Its pretty obvious that Ricky is a tough guy who wants exciting, interesting fights but his promoter is not getting them for him. This is farcical even for a last minute opponent.

 

I agree with this but Ricky himself would have wanted a better opponent but would anyone with a higher ranking take the risk at such short notice, not sure when they know they could get the fight with plenty of time to prepare.

He's not fought a top fighter since he won the belt, badly over the hill Katsidis being the best of the bunch

he'd get a pass if he'd fought a couple of top tier contenders this year, or unified or something

he hasn't, he's fought Average Moses and Domestic level Kevin Mitchell = no pass, because THOSE are stay busy fights

 

They sound like Liverpool fans with their ''next year....'' crap all the time.

Burns is in the prime of his career and coming off a trio of really good wins. So why the hell, are they doing this?
