Before Ali's banishment from boxing for refusing induction to the army, he used to make it a point to announce in the build up to each defense that their wasn't and never would be a rematch clause in his contracts. He'd say it was because he was a true fighting champion that takes on all comers, and if his opponent does whip him he didn't deserve a rematch, and should retire lol.
