burns has and dose everything better than mitchell,by a long long way.

no excuses for the kats fight, he was never in it at any point, even a unfit world class boxer would of had moments against a v good but basic in ya face boxer like kats

If Kev boxes on the back foot he will be clearly beaten on the cards IMO. His defensive tactics were spot on against Murray, but it won't work with a technician like Burns. Kev needs to force the action, and his variety will show. I can see Ricky getting frustrated and getting stopped late on.

Cant see how people can fancy Mitchell after last night. The man has had 35 fights and his best win is against John Murray. He simply isnt that good. Burns wins for me

Burns is a credit to the sport, he's done so much with little world level power (his ko percentage is deceptive, to be fair - if he was punching like he is now, there would be a lot more stoppages from the start of his career), no astonishing skills, okish speed(again, for world level), no obviously fantastic athleticism. He was huge for the weight, but even then you have to admire the dedication to keeping the pounds off given that would have weakened him enough for the size to barely matter. He's very, very clever in the ring, and that's why he's at the level he is today.

Mitchell's the opposite. He wasn't called the wayne Rooney of boxing for nothing. He should have been a two weight world champ by now - I still say he beats Katsidis nine times out of ten, shame the fool couldn't see that one time out of ten still means there's a decent chance you can lose and that you should work your a*se off. Mitchell has fan boys because the guy is a rare talent. However, he is very much on the cusp of throwing it away and could lose to Burns. Less worried about last night's performance, which was, overall, just a bit odd. More concerned about the Murray war. Frankly, Mitchell is leagues above Murray in terms of talent and should - would, pre-Katsidis - have put him away within*six. Burns wouldn't come close to stopping Murray, but you can be sure he'd win virtually every round.

For me, best British talents since Lennox at or near world level are Haye, Khan and Mitchell. Despite the criticisms, I think only Haye has come close to maximising his potential (Mormeck win far outstrips anything either of those two have done) - cos he's by far the smartest.

Mitchell has more power, better use of angles and a miles better coach so that's why I pick him to beat Ricky.

Mitchell is stronger with equal resume. Home backing should give him an adavantage. Burns is better boxer, fitter usually, beter workrate, faster.

I go with Birns in a MD.

The reason Kevin could beat Rios is Rios will be in his face just like John Murray,Ricky will be to fast and strong and has way better an engine than Kevin imo

No mate he couldnt beat Rios. Rios would pick him up eat him and spit him out. What is the fuss 35 fights and your top name is Murray. he wouldnt keep Rios off
