Buncey would back Johnny Greaves to beat Rios. That's just the way he is.

Mitchell only looks good when his man walks onto him, and even then he has no defence. Burns will stay on the end of his shots, stunt his workrate and box him to a points win, but no way we see a stoppage either way IMO.

i dont think kev punches that much heavier than burns, although one of his best attributes (kevs) is accuracy.
2year ago i would of picked mitchell,
but now i believe ricky is the best of the 2. hes matured into the "best he can be"
Burns is probably my favorite british boxer ATM.

There is no other fighter on ESB where people talk about if's and buts than Kevin Mitchell.

if Kev is well prepared, if Kev is 100%, if Kev is focused, if Kev really has given up the Booze, if Kev has got over his personal problems, etc. You would think that a well prepared Kevin Mitchell could beat anyone on the planet.

    ^^^^ yeah, what's your point ;)

The fight isn't a mismatch. Both are good enough to make it competitive with the other.

I wonder who FW wants to win? Dont see either man stopping the other so will likely go to points, home advantage (promotor favour) could be important.

Will Mitchell be allowed to fight in US in future or is that now a no go due to problems with the law.

  10. 100% Mitchell

    Montreal Duran

But that journeyman has a better win on his record than anything Rocky Martinez has ever done right?
You brought up the fact that Burns has beaten two top ten contenders but Katsidis wasnt a top ten contender after being battered by Juan Manuel and Guerrero.
Burns has a win over a top 5 guy in Martinez and so does Mitchell in Murray in a fight im positive he was the underdog with the bookies and on here.
The records really arent that much different to be honest.I think it will be a very competitive fight and could go either way.

I rewatched the katsidis/burns fight during the week and Then Mitchell/lora on Friday night, for me burns is faster and has a better work rate he also looks bigger than Mitchell and I'm not 100% on Mitchell's chin, if this fight happens burns stops Mitchell mid to late rounds.

    YESS - This 100% :deal

BB is right by the way, its a mismatch IMO and Burns shouldnt be looking to indulge kev until Kev is at World Level.

Edit: Who the hell is this 'Boxing Analyst' joker?
