I know he's going for a world title but if he'd being matched up for the European title against Leva how would he have fared?

Ricky would be too smart, he would outbox him quite easy over the distance...:yep

Could he handle Leva's power if he connected?

I think Ricky is sensible enough to use his boxing skills and pick pocket this fight...:yep Fight his own fight and not get drawn in to be vulnerable to get iced...:yep

Regardless of how much we must think that Leva might be ready to be taken, we must remember that the last thing to go is your power... Burns has the savvy to work round this...:deal

i see it that if burns dident get hurt early or very late in the fight he wins widely on points, martinez is much quicker, also a puncher, he,s a much different propersition, i can't wait to see how that fight pans out.

I think the first KO from Leva in Atlantic City was something that Carl never recovered from at that level...:yep

I think the best thing that happened to Ricky Burns was losing to CJ, it was a career defining fight for him for the better, for the long term, Burns was very much the winner that night as opposed to CJ...:yep

With any consistency ?.......no, he'd crumble, as would most Super-Featherweights.

It's a pick em fight for me, Burns wide UD or Kirakosyan by stoppage.
I reckon Kirakosyan is probably the biggest banger at Super-Featherweight at the moment, anyone that goes to war with him and comes out on top(Michael Gomez) should consider themselves very, very lucky. But he can be outboxed.

A swollen eye stoppage (Gomez was on top for the majority of the fight though), but nevertheless a win that continues to improve as time goes on :yep
