I'm wondering why Burns rejected to fight Broner in February, then elects to fight Vazquez.....knowing damn well the people want to see Broner-Burns. Also he's missing out on a nice payday.

Whatever. Would be hilarious if Vazquez beats this man.

Epix has announced that they will broadcast this "event".The Brits vs the stiffs will be mildly entertaining-but without Broner it is what it is.
Let Burns and his fans be delusional.

Broner is the best fighter in the division. Period.

Now, I happen to think that Ricky is the second best fighter in the division and will beat Vazquez.

What would make Broner the best in the division?

    Beating up DeMarco?

Tough fight for Burns. I think Vazquez probably outclasses him but they give it to Burns because Vazquez fights "too negative", whatever the hell that means. Then again, Burns has surprised me a number of times before.

Oh 'period'! That means its absolutely true.

The 3 of them are probably the consensus best 3 in the division, where people place them in that 3 is up to them. If two of the top 3 meet, the winner becomes the man in that division.

Maybe he rejected the fight because he would've only had 8 or 9 weeks to prepare which would mean six weeks sparring at best for the toughest fight of his life?
I wonder why Broner had to settle for Rees. Could it be that no belt holder or top name in their right mind would fight a top opponent like Broner at such short notice?
Princess keeps coming up with the same old bull****.Sensible Broner fans like MW knew fine well that the time frame was unworkable.

Keep it up sweet cheeks.Everyone knows your boxing knowledge consists entirely of the word "dayumm!!!!!!!!!!!"

    Me too.
It's a tough tough fight for Burns though. This is a new level for him and most fans know it.
Still think he can eke out a close victory though.Learned long ago never to write him off, even when the head tells me different.

    Ricky just said on news;
"Maybe people will get off my back about the Broner fight now.the only reason I never took the fight was because I would've had to cram 12 weeks of camp into 7 weeks.
I want the Broner fight but right now Vasquez has my full attention"

Imagine that.A world champ not taking his toughest test with half a camp!
What a nerve.I'm sure Broner would fight Matthyse or Mayweather with a seven week camp though....

It works both ways, burns hasn't had a fight since September, if he is a professional he would have kept himself in fighting shape and could have absolutely been ready to face Broner in February, Broner last fight was only 2 months ago, the difference with Adrien is he believes in his skill set and would have undoubtably faced Burns next month...

Burns is a good fighter, Broner is teetering on being great, it doesn't matter if Ricky had 12 weeks to prepare he would still lose, he just doesn't have what it takes to beat Broner and his average power and come forward style will see him executed if he ever takes the fight, however I'm about 75% sure that Vazquez will box his way to a UD barring his stamina holds up...Ricky Burns is a poor mans Ricky Hatton, Broner stops him...

Too bad. If there were two, he'd definitely beat Vazquez. (one to pin him from behind while the other tees off)
