I ain't seen Mendez mate. Hoping the footage for his fight with Baloyi turns up.

Just mentioned Mendez cos that's the only way Burns will get a chance at unifying.

Did anyone honestly expect anything different? At least this is a domestic fight against a former world champion.

thats what i was wondering. ive not heard anything about nicky cook since he was stopped by rocky martinez a few years ago. then he suddenly turns up in a world title shot against ricky burns.
i wonder if alex arthur could be next?

Youssuf Al-Hamidi. Which apparently qualifies him to fight for a title

Granted none of them are massive names but super-feather is a pretty lean division and most people on here would recognise that anyone of them would be a good challenge. Burns isn't exactly the best champion in the division so any 1 of them could stand a good chance vs him.

Unfortunately, for the 3rd fight in a row we are seeing Burns in with someone that he is a huge favourite for. It's getting tiresome now

I think Mendez would have a good chance against Burns; I'd pick him to win.

    Well it qualified Burns

The daft thing is, it's not as if Burns beat a pudding to win the title.

Martinez was overrated yes, but he was still in the top 5 of the division.

Neither Evensen or Laryea were in the top 50, and Cook was KTFO by Martinez himself.... and doesn't have a single notable win in the division other than over Average Alex Arthur.

    **** fight.

I like Burns, seems a top kid.... but he's not a world champion. We've had enough Frank Warren champions racking up bull**** defences. It's bollocks.

If Cook does not kill himself to make the weight, he will school Burns!!!
