No of course you didnt say that before the Martinez fight sweetheart. Honestly give it a rest. No-one is knocking Burns or yourself but dont come on here talking of unification match up's and then fighting your last 3 opponents including cook.

WHY IS THIS TRIPE SERVED UP AS A PROPER WORLD TITLE FIGHT!!!

And how on earth can Billy justify this? Ricky and you deserve better than this, but most importantly the paying public deserve better!

We are treated like mugs and War-ren serves this **** up month after month, the ****ing cheek of it! Cook is a known cocaine user and has been laid off for over a year before he came back against a nobody (how he got a top10 ranking in the wbo is beyond me, but hey we all know the wbo are used to helping fwank out with rankings) and now he fights 'champ' ricky! OUT-****ING-RAGEOUS!!!

Money because Cook got a name for being an ex world champion and being english fighting a scotsman for his old title in england it promotes it self to the casual fan who could waren have brought over for the same money with a bigger name

Rocky my hand on my heart thats the fights ricky wants (unification and the ring magazine) but i understand all sides of this sport and Frank isnt the top promoter for nothing, timing is the key and most times his timing is spot on!

    Still no answer billy!

Froch won the brit, euro then the wbc mandatory challenger and then won the belt. Since he has defended that against taylor, dirrell, kessler (lost but hey ho) and then regains it against abraham. And ricky is called a champ for defending it against 2 no marks. How can you justify that? How on earth can you slander the definittion of a champ? Im ****ing seething because my/your/our sport is dying due to this bollocks. If you have any backbone you will call black and white for what it is.

I honestly cant believe that Ricky is being passed of as a genuine champ when your picking cherries like Nicky Cook when you could select a proper contender like Gary Buckland or Gary Sykes. Thats just on our shores alone, and at least they will be competitive defences which as a champ ricky should be aspiring to do so on a regular basis.

Finally as for Wa-rrens timing, yes Khan fought a shadow of a Barrera in a terrible fight. Calzaghe fought a faded Rjj and B-hop, Hatton a faded Tzuyu. Oh yes we all know about wa-rrens ability to time fights. My saving grace is that he thought Katsidis was over the hill when Mitchell got in the ring, how wrong he was :)

billy ive spoken to you a few times as you know.....

i fully expect burns to beat cook up quite badly and stop him around 7-9 rounds.

burns has been kept very busy defending his crown rightfully in voluntary defences againt guys in the WBO top 15 , i hope hes made some decent money

after the cook fight i also expect that burns will fight his mandatory challenger in eloy perez.

perez is promoted by goldenboy and has a decent fan base in san francisco , whats the chances of burns beeing forced to fight this guy in the states (purse bid) where the american fans like ricky because of his performance vs martinez

hopefully its in the uk and hopefully its the kelvin hall as its 5 mins away from me

If and when that fights made i expect Frank to win purse bids, but if he doesnt Ricky would go to the US of A and beat Perez without any fear afterall we were going to puerto rico to fight martinez before it got moved to sunny glasgow
