I totally understand why Ricky passed on this for now.He seems to excel more against punchers,so to go in for what would easily be his stiffest test when he's been struggling with the weight makes perfect sense.I f Broner goes up and Ricky knocked back the fight then that would be different,but I want to say this in a Bill Clinton stylee;

Ricky has never been a noted puncher,but he's very accurate and seemed to have enough pop to get the attention of Martinez and Katsidis.I reckon he looks far more comfortable at the new weight,and like you i think he's heavier handed and likely to stop somebody soon.

I don't think people realise yet just how good Ricky's jab is.I saw it in the gym when he was kinda in no man's land career-wise and it's a real rapier.It's actually the best jab I've seen in the flesh and it's very underrated.I think the new weight and the proof of his ability is going to mean Ricky can go into bigger fights with more people actually expecting him to win.:good
