Broner ain't that skilled though, has no footwork and doesn't throw enough, that is never a good thing vs Maidana. Broner fought the same fight he always does so he didn't throw it away. Just wasn't fighting a LW or a light puncher. Broner was a beast at Lw.

 

He's not even old, he could still come back and become a top guy again.

Lebedev took quite a few years off after a few fights as well, and he did ok.

Reminded me of Tony Bellew VS Ovil Mckenzie that knockdown, but I think Cardle was well on top and Appleby had for want of a better phrase blown his load and was spent.
Perhaps he could have seen it out, but I had Cardle two rounds up + a knockdown.
Good little scrap, still don't rate Cardle highly but he showed he has a little power in the tank when he wants to turn it on.
Lets see him in with someone who can punch, they're matching him away from those type of fighters, Maxi Hughes, Gary Fox, Appleby are all such light hitters. I think there's a reason for that.
