Far cry from a getting a gift a against a career sparring partner.

Crawford is nothing special but a step above Burns.

Burns' left eye starting to swell closed? Seemed that way on the replay Sky just showed of Crawford landing on him and Burns flinching with an involuntary squint.

I don't particularly enjoy criticizing commentators but Jim Watt is appalling.
Has barely given any credit to Crawford whatsoever and brings Ricky's jaw up time and time again.

I make no comment about their quality but I have seen Burns be much more aggressive a fighter than this.

    Round 8

Crawford is caught on the gob with a left hand snapped out by Burns on the backfoot. Crawford walks through it and shoeshines Burns in the face, pinning him on the ropes. Crawford is firing straight punches into Burns' face, picking up speed and gaining in power. Burns is covering up, doing nothing. Body shots by Crawford. Fast straight combo splitting the guard by Crawford. Burns tries a sloppy right uppercut to the body after pushing apart, stumbling a bit and losing his footing as he throws. Crawford is sticking the right jab on Burns' face and then fading outside to dodge the Burns left jab, increasingly slow and useless. Crawford is turning Burns and feigning a right jab up top before plugging a left on the belly. Clinch. Burns steps forward and Crawford paddles his forehead with a triple right jab. Crawford is rotating either shoulder in while circling. Wild left hook up top by Burns, Crawford dropping his arms and easily avoiding it with footwork moving away from the ropes.

    10-9 Crawford

    77-75 Crawford

Burns tells his corner he got caught by body shot. Trainer advises him to keep elbow down.
