I'm not too impressed with Crawford at all tbh, he won the fight but Burns was shocking!

No arguments on Crawford being the better fighter, but no one who's watched more than few of burns's fights can see he was afraid to get hit from Crawford, he stood there with Martinez and katsidis, he doesn't have the confidence in his jaw anymore

People saying that wasn't ricky burns need to realise Crawford didn't allow burns to get of and and simply out smarted burns. He counter-punched brilliantly, nothing burns could do. He's always been a limited fighter, Gonzalez absolutely schooled him, Beltran got robbed, appart from that who has he fought?. He was never good to begin with....

Good, respectful stuff from both fighters afterward.

The right man won, and the scorecards were pretty accurate- that looks good when a visiting fighter can get a fair shake.

I'm looking forward to see where Crawford goes from here. There's still some upside left to his game, but he fought well once he got the early-round jitters out- perfectly understandable when your first title shot is overseas in hostile territory.

How does that explain him running and covering up everytime he got hit, he was doing a Khan impression this fight, technically it was Ricky burns, but mentally he wasn't - he's never been a fighter that is afraid to get hit

it could also be that Crawford's punches are harder to evade (and Crawford far more evasive) than Rocky Martinez and Michael Katisidis. You've seen Rocky, right?

Crawford has 16 ko's from 22 fights, he doesn't hit lightly. He was clearly hurting ricky to the body, upstairs, he made no complaints about the jaw so please don't use that as an excuse.

Burns was Brit Euro level and Broner would have destroyed it.

He's hard as nails, hit him with a bat and he'll still be there in front of you - very honest interview from him after the fight, giving Crawford credit which we've come to expect from him.

Tonight, he just couldn't pin Crawford down. I said before the fight, Ricky's jab had to be on-song and I just thought he was falling short with it or over reaching which was the same case in the Gonzalez fight and also against Beltran (fair play, against Beltran he was fighting on pure heart and balls so we can let it slide) but that's 3 fights now in which his jab wasn't the same weapon we've seen it can be.

I scored the fight 118-111 for Crawford but he's still a world level operator without a doubt. After suffering an injury like he did in his previous fight, Crawford was a very tough and awkward fight to come back too.

He should take some time off now, I think Hearn said he'll be back out in the summer so he'll have a few months off to recover and hopefully come back hungry for more success.

He's definitely a level above everyone at domestic level, but I do think when he does return he needs a confidence booster - after his last 3 fights - then go from there.

Gutted for him tonight, I've met him a few times most recently at the Froch/Groves card and he's genuinely one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet. I hope he bounces back.
