that's kind of his defense when under attack. I'm not discounting the idea, but Katsidis and Rocky Martinez are very, very crude fighters.

and Burns was visibly grimacing from some of the body shots. That's not a jaw-confidence thing.

Burns is simply not world level, his resume backs this up. He was losing badly to Gonzalez until he quit who is not at world level. He clearly lost to Beltran who isn't the best either, and now he's been totally out boxed by Crawford. The fights against domestic bums had created this hype around him but truthfully he's just very average, european level at best.

That's the thing. When he knows the next shot can come from any angle at high speed, he will react accordingly, as would any fighter with a brain. It says more about the class of Crawford than Burns being off his A game.

Burns fought bravely and put in a good effort. He just ran into a better fighter, which might just be the next big thing at lightweight. No shame in that.

Ricky fought to defensive, scared to really engage and got simply out worked and out boxed. Lost 20 quid but at least justice was done and the scoring was fair. Watt was also very harsh on Crawford as he said this fight will be close yet after Crawford wins easily he then moans about Crawford's quality. The old man is going senile i think.

Sometimes it might be better to just give the other guy some credit instead of shitting on both fighters. Kinda disrespectful by Watt this. I think Burns looked good in there, especially early. He just lost a fight to a better fighter.

i dont think you can put crawford ahead of abril because that would discredit your rankings.

its not like crawford won every round. he won 8-4, 8-4, 9-3 on the official scorecards and 2-1-9 (burns-draw-crawford) on mine.

the 3 guys above crawford move down a spot due to crawford being pushed up to 3rd.

thats just my take on it.

I wasn't over impressed with Crawford tonight. He won as I suspected, but is susceptible to a puncher.
