Speaking of whom, always wondered, how did a pasty Mank end up with a Hispanic name? :huh One grandparent a Spaniard or Latin American? It can't have been more than a quarter of his blood, the man was as straight-up cookie-cutter British-looking as they come.

Well he was Irish really (hence the trunks) but moved to manchester as a kid, real name Michael Armstrong but there was an english pro called the same at that time, so Armstrong changed his name to Gomez after Wilfredo Gomez his favourite fighter

So Watt is now picking Crawford?

Two days ago he was predicting Burns on points.

:conf He must have been swayed by something he saw at the weigh-in, though all the usual indicators (apparent comfort and confidence, as well as physique, slightly) favored Burns.

Watt, like a lot of brits, can be very defeatist

Crawfords groupie talking to Ricky during the staredown "you're gonna get knocked out" Ricky looks right at him "we'll find out saturday"

Did you bet your house on Hatton beating Floyd then, because that was the first and only time i remember Floyd looking nervous/concerned at a weigh in or presser.
Did you notice Crawford was chewing gum, do you know why a lot of doormen and security staff chew gum ?

i was 17 when that fight happened...i did walk into a betting shop, William Hill, and try to bet on hopkins-taylor but they werent buying it that i was 18 lol.

i only bet if im sure. i didnt even bet the mayweather-canelo fight because i thought they would try and rob floyd.

probably wont bet on this weekends, but theres other fights in future like angulo at 5 -1 is such good odds.....but still gotta see weigh-in and watch fights on youtube more carefully.

are you gonan bet on burns?

Looking forward to it, was hoping to get along to the fight but wasn't sure if I'd make it or not when tickets went on sale.

Watching on TV will have to do!

Hope Burns can win. Perhaps my heart ruling my head, but I fancy him to win on points.
