Given that some people in the burns vs Juanma thread have Burns beating Juanma, I wonder if they also have Burns beating Gamboa?

Shocking opinions to say Burns can beat Juanma but will these people outdo themselves and go a step further and say Burns can beat Gamboa?

I think Lopez beats Gamboa. But Burns has no chance against either.

ricky burns seems a great lad and is game as hell but against either of these fighters would stop him pretty early imo

Would Hamed have beaten Barrera? Would Hatton have beaten Mayweather? Would Benn or Eubank beaten Roy Jones jnr? Instead of harping on about what he can't do why don't you look at what he can and has achieved.

Well said mate. Ricky is an honest pro who stepped up to the plate when asked to in a fabulous performance. The guy is not maybe the best world champ the UK will ever have but he has guts and heart and I wish him all the best so get behind the guy.

Because people are saying he can beat guys who are well above his level. Most people have given the guy props, but a sense of reality is pretty ****ing useful in a dangerous sport like boxing.

He's taking a dig at those who said he could beat someone a few levels above him, not Burns himself ffs.

When the fight happens Yuriorkis "The Second Coming" Gamboa will stop Lopez! I don't see how much better Lopez can get, I don't think his flaws will ever be ironed out. Gamboa, however, has so much more natural ability and I reckon he's still got another level or two in him.

I reckon he'll have Lopez seeing stars inside the distance.

As much as I like Ricky I could not see him beating either fighter. But good luck to him if he ever gets such a fight.

Brit forum used to be class- but i'd rather post on the lounge these days and use Boxrec for anything resembling intelligent debate.
