Ricky Burns, what a fighter!

  1. Tonight Ricky Burns delivered one of the best performances by a British fighter in a world title fight in recent years.

    Absolutely tremendous.

Agreed . That is a definite fight of the year contender . Two guys giving 100% and leaving everything in the ring . Ricky came in as underdog and put in a career best performance

I just hope Warren doesn't put him back in with domestic fighters

    Great fight!
Showed heart and determination after being knocked down in the 1st to come back and beat a world champ.
    Scotland must be proud.

Some of the other champs are really beatable, Frank could do well to get a big money unification in Scotland.

Great performance from him. I was roaring during the 8th i thought it was curtains, but he kept surprising martinez (and me) by rallying, lets hope we have someone to support through a series of defenses. The best of luck to him, make plenty of money Ricky and keep on improving. He tamed the beast that nobody could.

Cracking performance from burns, outboxed and confused martinez for most of the night. Was always a worry that martinez would have the power to take him out and a few hairy moments but rickty was a deserving winner. Regret the **** not going the night but tight with the cash, hopefully make his 1st defense though

Those long arms help Ricky a lot.
