Haha one of the few posters I've noticed that seem to share many of the same views.

I like Burns alot, my fave UK fighter right now but he clearly don't want no problems.

I wouldn't say that's exactly true. The one thing no one has mentioned yet is that the fight was to be in Cincinnati, so essentially Burns was being asked to go over there and job to Broner, as there is no way he was ever going to win a decision in Broners home town. Couple that with the fact that he was already struggling to make the weight and was offered the Katsidis fight and it makes total sense as to why he didn't fight Broner, and it was nothing to do with being scared.

We always hype our world champions, in 2011 we Lost David Haye, Carl Froch and Amir Khan, Only one we kept is Ricky Burns, the same Ricky Burns who keep Broner at distance for twelve rounds.

Still not an iota of proof that Ricky ducked Broner. And there won't be any either.
And before anyone starts thinking I'm suggesting Ricky beats him,I'd urge you to read my previous post.

Actually MW i think Broner would beat Burns, what i find hard to swallow is the double standards you guys can show at times and your percieved complete lack of respect for Burns ability and what he has managed to achieve. Like ive already stated if Broner had beaten Katsidis that night the victory would be looked at in a completly different light am i not right??

Burns does not need to be hyped as he has proven as the underdog firstly against Martinez and then against Katsidis that he is at the very least a solid world class fighter with the ability to be a good champion. I have not seen anyone claim that he is "the next big thing" or claims that he "handles guys such as Rios with ease". Of course if he was beating guys like that in the future then he would have a realistic case of being labeled elite. I cannot see him doing that and as a British boxing fan i can tell you for a fact that myself and my fellow British fans are not hyping Burns to a ridiculous degee.

This, other than I think Burns beats Broner, Burns just needs to avoid Rios

Its a close fight no doubt, Burns has more than enough in his locker to create some difficulties, that jab for sure would trouble Broner as would Ricky's tight defence.:good
