Like the guy in your avatar was going to beat the **** out of Martinez. I value your opinion. Not at all biased in favour of fighters of a certain demographic. :thumbsup

Burns does a lacy special on his little midget ass and sends him packing home along with his dub ass hair chomb...

I'd give Burns a hell of a chance against Broner. Broner really hasn't impressed me and he believes his own hype.

Burns is seasoned pro now with a lot of good winds under his belt. He has shown the ability to adapt to his opponent and dictate the pace of the fight to suit him. I think he would give Broner nightmares.

That's if the scales don't beat Broner first.

Broner's heir to Lacy's throne as great American hype-job. They even look a bit similar.

you know what I'll just leave this topic alone. I'll check back in a couple years time after Broner has unified the LW divison and established himself as a P4P fighter on his way to moving up to fight the big boys at 140-147 while at the same time Burns has stayed at home and amassed stunning yet pointless victories over journeymen like Rees, Harrison, Mitchell 2, Crolla etc.... maybe FW will get really risky and throw in a Lundy.

It's obvious you cannot discuss a UK fighter rationally with the majority of UK posters. Sall good I actually respect the love you have for your domestic scene and fighters. Your Brit champs get more love and recognition than p4p american fighters do at home. Your scene is one of the best in the world as far as support (maybe THE best) and I can't fault you for loving your hometown fighters so much that you cannot be rational.

I'll just let this one play out and come back to smack some of you in the face. If you can't see what FW has planned yet again for yet another one of his fighters then you'll never see it! Burns is very good but it'll be a long time before he gets to prove it, probably too late.

  7. Royal-Baw-Bag, you have no idea what a journeyman is.:rofl

Of course, but as history shows some fighters are outstanding from the start of their career and some lose early doors as they learn their trade. Hopkins lost is first fight. Flash Elorde lost 2 of his first 14 fights and by the time he challenged for a world title he had lost 7 bouts.

He still went on to be a World Champion who made the HOF.

Burns is a totally different animal to who he was when he lost those bouts. That's not to say Broner might not beat him, I have no idea as I have not seen Broner fight and have been out of the loop a bit with boxing.

But it is ludicrous to base it on old losses that were really a kid not close to what he is now. Who has Broner beaten that compares to Martinez or Katsidis?

I like this fight, don't think it happens, but its a good fight. Broner is obviously a very talented fighter and unless something goes wrong he's going to be a top pfp fighter before long.

I've only seen a little of Burns but he's a good fighter who has been on a nice run the last couple years. I'd make Broner the favorite but I don't think Burns would be an easy fight for him.

Ricky was on local news tonight saying he'd love to go to America for big fights but it's down to his manager.
    That's not good news.

The Team Elite Corporartion employ over 9,000 workers accross the 8 state of the art team elite headquarters based around the globe.

Each team elite complex is run by one of the hugely powerfull team elite general's with the corporation posting a 34.1 Billion profit over the last financial year.

Team Elite tour relentlessly around the globe, educating minnions via respectfull lectures and mouth-watering seminars complete with use of over-head projectors and post-lecture no expence spared buffets that include mini porkpies, scotch eggs, findus crispy pancakes and frazzles, all washed down with a decanter of the finest dandelion and burdock that money can buy.

The Team Elite Corporation educate ignorant, blinkered fanboys on the following topics

    - exposing carefully managed american hypejobs and outing them prior to they're 1st defeat, eg jeff lacy, jermain taylor, devon alexander, zab judah, chad dawson, berto, pavlik, broner, ward etc.

    - exposing ring magazine comic and the HBO sports comedy channel for they're bias, delusional brainwashing techniques that have shaped the views of narrow minded, and laughably ignorant sheep for decades.

    - study the art of pwnin delusional fanboys with the use of irrefutable scientific facts before a global audience of millions. Team elites current record in debate is

    46,991 debates
    46,990 victories
    1 draw
    0 defeats
46,990 victories coming by way if brutal pwnage

    - exposing drug cheats in boxing and completely thrashing steroid apologists in debate who try to excuse their hero from the fact that he is an absolute ****ing disgrace to the sport of boxing.

    - working in collaboration with the chincheckers in the analysis of glass jaws at professor IC chins punch resistance laboratories in lichtenstein.

    - discussing the importance of vcash totals via use of the infallible team elite vcash barometer that accurately states the knowledge level of the poster who has dared to enter into debate with a team elite general.

    - to discuss the importance of profile views and highlight the fact that esb cannot cope with the huge demand for profile views of team elite generals so as adopted the policy that 1000 profile views of a team elite general actually = 1 profile view on the esb counter.

    - all this fantastic work culminates in the biggest red carpet event of the year in way of the Team Elite Corporation Awards Ceremony where a slew of A-list celebrities toast a year of dominant team elite success and reward esb's finest poster's via a selection of deliciously nominated categories.

with regards to your terrific thread GJE, i'm absolutely gobsmacked at how many delusional posters think that broner could survive 12 rounds with ricky burns.

burns would take broner into deep water and i see broner drowning by the 11th.
