    My mates just been chatting to me (a mate from the Army who's from Scotland).

    Just been chatting to me about Ricky Burns. He says the lad is one of the nicest blokes around. He said that Ricky still works at JD Sports, anyone know if that's true? That is incredible if it is :good

    He did even after he won the world title, I'm not sure if he still does now though.

    Billy recently confirmed, on another thread, that Ricky does still occasionally work at JD sports. Ricky seems like a sound lad, I hope he wins tonight and I think he will.

    It's JJB sports and I was speaking to someone last week who said that he still does a weekend shift just for something to do really.

    He is a mechanic by trade and did that before he gave it up to box full time.

    Burns should be stopping this chinny Englishman despite having featherfists, a nice easy nights work.

    He needs to fight a proper opponent next time out, hes probably had harder fights than Nicky Cook in JD Sports.

    He is a nice guy. I hope ****** gets that Fana fight next. For the ring title. would be a wonderful achievement even if I don't think they are the best 2 at the weight.

    Yeah does weekend shifts as MIK said. Seems a grounded guy who just living life to the fullest.

    When he beat Martinez he didn't go party. He went Mac D's and got himself a meal and headed home to eat it and play ps3 while chilling with his dog :lol:.
