Can only really speak from my own experiences, I've worked in the states for a bit, seen racism, been to England, seen racism, seen it in Scotland. Racism is sadly everywhere, directed towards everyone in some part of the world. Scotland is such a small country it probably seems more pronounced and there is a complex for some up here with the English. Yes a lot of the political stuff is from centuries ago but the ramifications are still felt, many (myself included) feel we are an afterthought in the UK which is mainly controlled by England. This isn't me hating the English, it's me not feeling any connection to them, Ireland or Wales but for hateful types that can be used as a catalyst

I am happy for Scotland to be independent if that's what the people want. I don't see how legally they can have a vote on that without allowing all of the United Kingdom to vote on it though, but I don't have an issue with it.

I understand why Scots would feel that way, but to be honest most people in England feel that way too. The government are not anti Scotland, there just ****. I think if independence happens, after the hysteria has died down, the Scottish people will still face similar issues that they face now. The problem is **** goverment, **** political system and the independence really isn't going to change that at all, if anything it will become worse as Scots tend to favor a more socialist government.

Political differences aside (I am mostly left leaning) I'm not saying they are anti-scottish, it's worse, we're an afterthought. They can't even be bothered to be anti-Scottish ha, anyway enough of this. Saying you don't like Scots because they are racist is an irony so glaring it's blinding me. If you don't like Scots that's fine who am I to judge but when you're on a public forum with what seems like more than a few Scots don't expect a cosy time because they will know your prejudice is out there

The anti English thing in Scotland is just embarrassing. The English dont give a **** about a rivalry with Scotland. Its a one way thing thats continued by the ignorant and uneducated.

The Tartan Tranny's are just pathetic, a real chip on there shoulder.

OT - Burns moving up and punching lumps out of Khan would be great

Bladdy hell laddy! I didnae no Braveheart 2 was oot!?!

Just look at this thread! :patsch

    LOOK AT IT!

Months and months and months of prophecy has all been proved right yet again.

I don't get on with Jonsey at the best of times, but this thread has just exploded with Scot-tards (just like the Liam Walsh vs. Scott Harrison thread) who will gang up if you dare say a word about their precious little WBO champion.

They cant find success anywhere else, and now the Jocks finally have something to hold onto in boxing, and boy are they clinging on for dear life! Regardless of any truth being said, they will deny the reality right in thee face.

Ricky Burns aint fought world level at this weight. He turned down one (maybe two offers) for one fight, and changed promotion when another was in the pipeline. It cant be denied, even by this group.

Who was it that said they "dont exist" and its "all in my head" ???

All they know is getting behind their boy, and thats it. Fair play, support your fighter from your country. But why is it, if you question it, you get called a troll?

Because it dont sit right with this wee group of Ricktards! Simple.

They HAVE to defend it to the death. Bit pathetic really. Its only a sport, and its only a fighter. Why are you all so over protective (I can understand Billy) but these fans, my word! I think they are becoming worse than any other fighters fans in the UK.

Jonsey, you are better of leaving this thread right now mate, they will be coming at you wearing kilts, clutching pitchforks and singing flower of Scotland.

  11. This could go the way of Walsh-Harrison,they are passionate fair play

Just to Stoke it up a bit,I'm a big burns fan he is a credit to boxing and Scotland but for me would be an underdog going in to fights with Judah,Garcia,Matthysse or khan

I think Ricky Burns has done bloody brilliant for himself. But he is at a level now where I think he will struggle.
