Beltran is a fringe world class fighter who might just be finding his way to world class there can be no doubting his skillset is world class i watch some of the things he does and he's well versed albeit a little shaky in some parts of his game. Seems to have bitten the bullet and got career going which is what i love to see. I like him and think this is a quality fight it's no gimme for Ricky and it's a fight which is going to have technique, skill and heart involved.

Fans will enjoy it. Beltran has earned this chance with his victories recently.

You still dont get the point Im trying to make,I wasnt critisizing Rickys opponents I was simply highlighting the fact that he can be outboxed and hasnt really been tested by anyone with the skill set to do so besides Gonzalez.
You dont need to have a long list world beaters on your record to be a skilled operator,Gonzalez had 20 something and 0 record against nobodies before he fought Ricky and you saw what happened there.
A skilled world class boxer will take Ricky to school all day long,make him fall short with the jab and make him pay.

Burns has no Plan B to being outboxed it seems.

 

Ricky Burns was supposed to be unifying titles by fighting the best including Broner and Marquez.

This announcement is very disappointing for boxing fans and he will keep on getting away with it until the arena full of mugs stop buying tickets.

 

Must say i was hoping for Vasquez or Abril this time round. Disappointed with the selection tbh, its a solid but not outstanding choice
