Really? It seemed to me plan B was to draw his opponent into a war. Yes you could argue that he got lucky but he worked his way back onto the scorecard before the quit. So you're saying that because Gonzalez outboxed him anyone can? Even guys who aren't tested at world level are now a certainty to beat him? Utter nonsense mate, total bollocks
Mmm, a little disappointed at opponent, think I will give this one a miss , just until a great matchup comes along for ricky
Really think Eddie has bottled it here, lost confidence in Rick after the Gonzalez fight so wants to put him in with a decent contender to blow him away (hopefully) and get people back on side. Eddie living off the 'if you win this one, your next fight will be massive' scenario
Twice the boxer Gonzalez is, he is not. Well that we dont know for sure. Crawford's a nice boxer, but he's not slick like Gonzalez, he would be more hitable for Burns.
Fight is a bit meh to be honest. Wish they would stop leading us on to think unification fights although to be fair to ricky he did sign to fight Vasquez and it turned out to be bull****. Just a bit annoyed that after this it's looking like Crawford so could be a year before a big fight
He might not be Vazquez and I can understand some of the disappointment but Beltran's ranked in the lower half of the top ten lightweights in most 'independent' rankings (ESB, Transnational Ratings, ESPN as well as The Ring) and that'll do for me...for now at least. There's far worse opponents getting 'title' shots out there.
People assume because Gonzalez schooled Ricky he is some sort of brilliant fighter. How about Ricky isn't that good and made Gonzalez look a lot better than he is?
The Burns camp are full of turd and this fight confirms that they are only interested in screwing easy money out of the jock fans north of the border. So much for unifying titles and fighting Broner. The jock fans should boycott this shyte
