Fear of losing their welfare money, fear of losing their account. That's why someone would be scared of betting with me

I love how you've completely backed off the alleged 'conspiracy', unless you finally want to present that evidence? :D

Strawman and petty insults, how ironic

Scared of a ban bet? Not at all, as along as it's a fair fight...but considering the fact that Raymundo now knows he doesn't have the skills to win honestly, he'll surely dope up and fight dirty :-(

The ban bet hasn't been rejected, I'll happily accept it if it's a fair fight.

    Where's the VADA contract? :deal

The fight was pretty fair, just as the draw decision was (Ricky should've taken it by 1 point, but I'm reasonable) - the only big abnormality was the lucky jaw punch. No, I said since he couldn't win in a fair fight the first time, the filthy yankee-ness will compel him to cheat in the rematch.

I'm sure you have come to realise from an early age that those loads of punches you've suffered aren't by luck  I'm talking about a single fluke punch and even with that advantage he still didn't have the skills to secure the win, pathetic!

And they're very biased against Europeans in Timbuktu, so I wouldn't trust those scores anyway. But please feel free to present your evidence of the Great Scottish Boxing Conspiracy! :rofl

Only a sick mind would find humour in someone being wary of yankees routinely breaking the rules by being doped up and fighting dirty.

...Still waiting on the evidence of the Great Scottish Boxing Conspiracy!

I'm done with you, sport. You've already showed yourself up on here by having your tongue firmly up ricky burns bottom that restricts your view where you're unable to see anything else besides his butt cheeks.

You dismissed video footage of ricky getting his ass whooped and now you're crying for evidence of the scottish boxing being corrupt when if you watched the fight you'd have seen the corruption first hand in all it's glory.

David McCarthy: Judges may have called Burns-Beltran a draw.. but the punters weren't fooled

DAVID was stunned along with 6000 fans in the SECC on Saturday night when Ricky Burns held onto his WBO lightweight title - thanks to a dodgy call from the judges.

I AM Scottish and British and happy to be both.

But I’m a Scot first and foremost and on Saturday night at the end of a bleak sporting weekend for our nation – Andy Murray was dethroned as King of New York on Thursday, Scotland were skelped by Belgium on Friday – 6000 of my countrymen and women filled me with pride on Saturday.

They had just watched Ricky Burns take a beating from Raymundo Beltran and sat awaiting the confirmation from the judges’ scorecard that our man – brave as he had been, having suffered a broken jaw in the second round of his 12-round battle – had just lost the world crown.

They were gutted but knew Ricky had been beaten by the better boxer on the night. It’s sport. It happens.

But what followed was not sport. The judges, or rather two of the three, refused to give the Mexican the verdict. One of them, an American called Carlos Ortiz Jnr even gave Burns the win by three rounds. He should be made to publicly explain that decision because it was utterly ludicrous.

Much as we all love and admire Burns, he lost most of the rounds and was put on his backside by Beltran in the eighth. That Len Goodman guy who gives everybody inflated marks in Strictly Come Dancing On Ice-Factor or whatever it’s called would even have ruled our man had lost.

But not this Yank. And that might be a typo. And not the Englishman Richie Davis who called it as a draw which meant Ricky held on to his crown.

In most places that kind of hometown decision would have been greeted with unconfined joy. But not in Glasgow. Not in Scotland. The verdict was greeted with silence. The fans sat and squirmed because they knew this stank and a brave, skilled fighter had been denied the world title he’d sweated and made sacrifices for.

They were cringing because they knew a man had been wronged. If you look at a re-run, watch Ricky when the 115-113 vote is announced for Beltran from the Belgian judge. He looks at his opponent and gives him a definite nod of appreciation.

He knew he had lost but this travesty was not his fault and as a proud world champion who had battled through pain few of us can imagine he was never going to hand over the belt and say to the guy, “Have this, you deserve it”.

That’s not his job. He is in there to box. The judges are in there to judge and they did the credibility of their sport no favours.

Burns and Beltran did with their skill, bravery and honesty. The Scottish public did too with their reaction that refused to validate the verdict even though it had gone in favour of their man. I honestly don’t think there are many places in the world where that would have happened.

The judges had done Ricky almost as much as a disservice as they had to Raymundo because all the talk afterwards was about the verdict and not the valour.

For many, including this proud Scot, it was the night boxing ceased to be a sport I’ll take more than a passing interest in from now on.

When someone like Jim Watt says: “There are times I just don’t like this sport,” you know boxing is lying flat out on the canvas.

But I’m so thankful the Scottish sporting public did not give the knockout punch delivered by the judges a standing ovation.

your own people and natinoal paper had your boy losing fu ck ****** :finger
