As you know the WBO has ordered Burns to fight Crawford.

However, this week TopRank who promote both Crawford and Beltran have agreed terms with Matchroom for the Burns v Beltran rematch. (Source Twitter @StevenFeder, (Beltrans manager)).

It looks like TopRank will now ask the WBO to sanction Burns v Beltran, and this request will likely be accepted.

I dont know why you're acting with glee, when ricky is going to have to get in the ring with a world class opponent. Hearn just said burns will be fighting at the hydro 8th Feb. Doesn't matter if it's beltran, Abril, Vasquez or Crawford they'll all be travelling to Glasgow

Why would he be doing a show on the 8th Feb when that was the date for Haye-Fury? I doubt Sky would have done a split feed for the PPV so it seems a bit suspicious that he had that venue and date ready...probably knew Haye wasn't fighting on that date for weeks now.

 

He had it booked for the 1st of Feb then changed it when Haye cancelled.

 

Can barely contain my enthusiasm to see Ricky utterly dominate that scummy Mexican-yank without such a skill-less, fluke jaw punch hindering him this time round (and the yank still pathetically failed to earn the win! ).
