mate hes no world beater but I don't get the hate for him why is crolla who I like viewed as any better or Flanagan or Joshua for that matter have they fought any elite world level fighters?

 

I never hated him either mate, but the way he accepts cheat decision after cheat decision , yet still tries to manufactur ethis "nice guy" image has become intolerable.

I agree its not all made by his hand, but you cant deny hes by now had some hand in it. That's why U NOW dislike him.

 

end of the day the guy has to feed his family he has the lumps and bumps to show for it he was outclassed by Crawford, and zlaticanin destroyed him but he is no worse than most of the guys fighting for and currently holding world titles, last night was no way a cheat win imo he won fair and square

 

Yes on paper he is a three weight world champion, in reality amongst the true knowledgeable boxing fans he is seen as nothing more than a sick joke, and the epitome of British palm-greasing

I've now been told that this part time bum, ranks up there along the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd mayweather, Cotto , Mosley etc. and that he is now a legitimate hall of famer.

This impostor is a stain for the credibility of boxing. You cannot tell me with a serious face that Ricky Burns, the guy who has been slapped around the ring against mediocre and sub par fighters and is mortified at the prospect of fighting away from his home crowd and goons in commentary, is a great.

He has shamelessly defrauded his way to victories while acting like he is a hero. Even last night we witnessed a man who deep down in his heart knew he didn't deserve to win, yet unashamedly put on a face as if he won in an emphatic fashion

When this charlatan stepped up against a true accomplished fighter in Crawford, he was made to look like the limited specimen that is he. Crawford didn't even have to step in to gear, he remained in sparring mode the whole time and strolled victory. I'm sure he's had harder workout sessions in the gym, then outboxing a one dimension glorified plodder in Burns

Broner now must be rubbing his criminal hands with glee at the prospect of getting those titles from Burns.

 

Feeding his family is no excuse for being a fraud. The thief, the ******, the murderer, they all have families to feed, nevertheless that does not excuse their crimes.

Ricky Burns accepts all forms of accolades, which he knows he doesn't deserve. He conceitedly plays of the role of the nice guy next door, and pretends not to have a bad bone in his body, with carefully managed mannerisms accompanied with innocuous smiles as if he is as honest and naive to any bad dealings as the local man on the street.

Sadly this 'down to earth I'm just like you' pr act - the same fraudulent act that the ruffian Anthony Joshua uses - fools the drunkards, the casual, the deluded and desperate patriotic Scotsmen who believe Ricky is made from the same cloth as of them.

But do not be decieved, he is a crafty one. Behind the scenes he working very hard with his snake oil salesmen team who have the power of influence and cater an image to the public, to hand pick the most biased of referees and to select the lowest of order of bums imaginable to present an eventual opportunity for a title shot.

It doesn't matter to them if those with eyes to see witness the blatant cooked up judges scores, as long as the home crowd keep cheering like seals and buying tickets to see this imposter, that is the bottom line.

 

I thought Ricky edged the fight but it didn't matter as the judges has decided he was getting it anyway. The Beltran draw was well worse.
HOWEVER,
Ricky burns does not "manufacture" any image. Ricky Burns has clearly had no media training. If you meet Ricky burns in the street then he is exactly how you get him on TV.
Ricky burns is a genuinely nice guy, freindly, humble, approachable and will take the time to speak to anyone about boxing. He is exactly how he is on screen in person.

To describe Ricky Burns as "a sick joke" has lost you any credibility, which BTW you didn't have any to begin with.

 

Exactly, know the guy personally and nothing you see in his mannerisms is fake or just for the cameras.... He's one of the nicest, down too earth guys in the game.

 

Any true boxing fan as you like too call yourself wouldn't call any fighter who puts their health on the line everytime they get in that ring for our entertainment a 'sick joke' ' charlatan 'imposter' ..... You are just a banger, your lack of respect probably comes from never having the balls too lace up a pair of gloves and get in that ring yourself... Listen to the Ricky Burns fanboys cry for their hero because I've simply exposed his ways and highlighted the times he should have lost legitimately.

All you can protest with is ''he is really a nice guy'' ''he would never lie'' ''You've never fought in the ring''. Nothing but Blind fanboy fanaticism that only knows how to respond with emotions and tears.

Ricky Burns may be a nice guy, but a true nice guy doesn't pretend he was poor because of a broken jaw which happened as a result of his opponent bashing his face in. Neither does he do nothing to avenge any of his losses all the while strutting along with belts and accepting all kinds of ridiculous plaudits as if he is a true ATG.

This is why he will always be considered a sick joke. True ATG/ hof/s avenged defeats, never got beat and upstaged by bums with every kind of backing imaginable in their favour behind them, from judges, refs, crowds. Neither did they have a phobia of fighting away from home.

Until any of you blind patriotic fanboys can tell me why Ricky Burns deserves to be held up with such legendary names , then I will always see him as nothing more than a glorified euro level bum masquerading as some elite fighter.

I do not personally consider Ricky to be anywhere near an ATG and have him beaten every day of the week against Broner and Crawford.

I am, however, offended by your description of this decent human being as "a sick joke".

I cannot take any of your other potentially legitimate opinions seriously whilst you continue to describe him as such.
