If you were Burns and was had to declare bankruptcy after being screwed over by a certain snake and had family to take care of what would you have done any differently than he has done?

off the top of my head it was the Warren court case debacle where Warren witheld the purse from the Kevin Mitchell fight and Burns also had to pay Warren money. I cant remember the details to be fair bud. It was Warren being Warren tho, pretty sure he did something very similar with Calzaghe?

Maybe I cant name one but I would say there is no such thing as a "poor" 3 x times world champ... anyone who gets to a level where they can be a one time world champ certainly aint a bum ... if they were then why have you never won one i mean if frauds or bums can get to that level, would be a walk in park for yourself surely?

nobody can deny that ricky has over achieved durin his career but to call him a bum or unworthy is totally unacceptable imo. ricky has trained very hard and when given opportunities he has taken them. did he deserve to fight for the super lightweight title or even the super featherweight belts? the answer is no but on both occasions he went out and came away with the wins. is it rickys fault that he got the chance to fight for the titles? no but he went into the fights with his professional attitude and won the titles

will ricky ever be spoken about as an all time great? yes but only in scottish circles imo because we may never have another 3 weight world champion and no matter how he got them nobody can deny the fact that he is a 3 weight world champion

 

On paper of course he is a 3 weight champion. But that piece of paper is see through.

There should be no debate on a serious boxing forum as to whether or not Burns is a bum.

If we analyse his opponents, the manner of his defeats and false victories, then logically we can only come to the conclusion that what we have here, is a glorified bum that happened to play his cards right and leverage off a nation, desperate for a achiever.
