he's not 21 years old anymore, and he's not fighting that kind of competition anymore

I know that....but the basic style (and lack of holding), makes him look alot more impressive than his current style of fighting

I think if he didn't hold floyd and smother himself he would have gotten tatooed all night.

Not that Ricky isn't a very good fighter, I'm just completely sold on Floyd. He is by quite a bit the best fighter in the world right now.

    Hatton has underrated handspeed.
Also his punches looked more accurate in that video than we're accustomed to from him.

Agreed, but assuming he moves back down to 140 he could beat anybody in the division without the need for holding. Mayweather is just in a different league

yeah it came about with the koysta fight, which i can understand the reason for in that fight of not letting koysta let big punches off, but kept it up for the fights after too.

no offense but you're a bit of a fool if you thought hatton could win off this video.

hatton was fighting (no offense intended to the man) a bum... the best prospect in all of the UK fighting someone 2-4 from NC, which has some of the weakest boxing in all of America? he could afford to fight like that... it wasn't like he could've hurt him or outbox him.

hatton would've been torn up all day if did that against higher opposition (especially mayweather). he just doesn't have the same quickness and boxing skills that upper echelon fighters have

I really like Hatton, but i doubt this would work at the level he is at now with his mind-boggling lack of reach.

    20 inches! 50 centimeters people:yikes !!!!

Its the same as my lower leg, like a child!

It makes his achievements all the more impressive.

hatton had to employ the clutch and grab style once he moved up from fighting stiffs to fringe and eventually some contenders.

had hatton employed that style vs urango, he may have gotten his ass knocked out.

had he fought that way vs mayweather he would not have lasted 4 rounds.
