Bad move on his part in my opinion. He's been out the ring for quite a while now and reading some of the posts, he has enough money to live his life comfortably, so he should stay retired to keep his eggs from getting scrambled.

Who knows how much his legendary battles with weight gain and loss between fights has taken out of him.

I've heard about the alcohol and drug abuse allegations and if they are valid, he needs to get that in control and put it behind him before mounting any serious thoughts of a comeback.

On the flip side, he only has 2 losses and both of them are to future HOF and ATG fighters. I'm thinking he likely could beat many of the guys out there making decent money right now. However, I don't think he has the big name recognition to pull off a SRL type comeback and get an immediate title fight for the type money he would want to get.

Wouldn't boxing be the best way to get into shape and off drugs? It's not like he has to fight Pacquiao again. He can fight normal or even elite fighters who don't have one punch knock out power. Think Amir Kahn.

I would think it would be prudent on his part to get off drugs and beat that before trying to make a comeback. I'm not saying getting into the gym for some good work is not something he should do, but if he is fighting a bad drug habit, he's likely in no condition for the rigorous training required to take on a 10-12 round fight anytime soon.

As for him fighting "normal" fighters, I don't feel his ego or his fans would want him to dip too low in the pool of talent that is out there. He's gotten too used to making mega money in his fights and that kind of payday doesn't come along fighting Joe Palooka.

It has only been about 18 months since he had that fight with Pacquiao and got KO'ed. If he does come back, I'd hope he'd take one or two tune-up fights before reaching for any title shots. If he can get back into the kind of shape he was in for his fights with Tszyu or Mayweather, I think he could take out "King Khan", but not right out the gates.

Yea at this point, Hatton seems like he could use boxing in his life, once he gets sorted out.

I mean yea, I agree, don't go trying to fight a Bradley, but he could easliy bring ALOT of people to some stadiums to fight a couple of Malignaggi types, and make some extra cash. Probably couldn't hurt his promotial company either.

I don't mean nobodies but guys we know he can beat, that would make him look good and allow him to get back into shape. A couple tune up fights and then he can make his run for a title.

I deff think, if Hatton can get back in proper shape, he could pick up an abc title again at 140, maybe even 147.

I would like to see Hatton attempt a comeback. But he needs to get his life in order first.

Exactly what he said - altho I think the Hatton from the Castillo fight beats JMM at 140. Too much pressure at Hatton was full of confidence before the Mayweather fight.

140 and 147 isn't JMM's best weight, that was Hatton territory until Pac came around
