Point taken but he was hardly spectacular in his comeback, he had one decent performance against Miadana, who in my opinion is one of the most overrated fighters around, as for him winning the WBC title, he might as well throw it in the bin, its meaningless.
But still, considering how badly he was written off in that Maidana fight, he did win it, and what a night it was! If Hatton could do something simmilar, in the M.E.N where he wouldn't get robbed. it'd be worth it imo.
Possibly, It's hard to gauge how far he can go without seeing him fight, he could have **** all left and no punch resistance? If he still has enough left to fight and beat Khan I would be over the moon and it would be well worth it. Eventually I think he will come up against somebody he would have battered in his prime and end up losing, could be in his 1st fight? 3rd fight? Who knows? But it will happen.
Who would you put him in with for his comeback? i'm assuming it will be at welter, the best bet would be to blow up a 135lb'r who has an ok record on paper, can't really bang and has been beaten up a fair bit recently I'd go for someone like Derry Matthews tbh
I really don't know, Matthews isn't that bad a shout actually, I think it needs to be someone around that level, It needs to be a test of some sort, not a Hungarian hairdresser that will fall over after a round or two.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-2202526/Amir-Khan-wants-Ricky-Hatton-fight.html Maybe why no news on Khan.....You know hes toast if Ricky catches him.
Khan is seriously **** though mate......I wouldnt be suprised. If Ricky is coming back he will be having behind closed doors bouts I reckon to get himself ready.
I think that Derry Matthews is a fantastic suggestion :good He has proved recently that he is still very game and is good enough to beat fighters considered amongst the best at domestic level. It would definitely give us some idea as to what Hatton has left. He is also a popular fighter, he is a 'name', and I like the idea of Derry getting a nice big pay day, he is a credit to the sport and deserves it IMO. Derry would also come to win, no doubt of that. And ultimately if Ricky has any chance of a successful comeback he will definitely need to be beating the likes of Derry Matthews :bbb
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/19565377 BBC have got Robert Smith saying he should get a license. It's on.
