I think if Hatton is serious about this he needs to get back to 140lbs.

Agree, if he is SERIOUS here is what he needs to do.

    1) Fight tin can at 150lb catchweight or whatever for comeback fight

    2) Hire elite S&C coach to work with him ALL THE TIME (not just training camps)

    3) slow burn down to 145lb catchweight for second fight in April against Euro level opponent

    4) continue with step 2

    5) 140lb return september 2013 against world level opponent

This gives him almost a year of LIVING healthy, and to get down and stay down in weight, no ****ing crash diets and skeletal weigh ins.

    this is IF he's serious.

I agree except scratch the 150lbs fight. Pretty sure he is already at 150lbs.

**** it, do it anyway, drag a tin can up from 135. Just get in the ring comfortable, it doesn't matter, this is just step one, take no risks.

it's more about the next 12 months for me. if he can STAY 11st or under for 12 months, his body will adapt to that, and when he fights at 140 he will make it HEALTHY

Ricky Hatton was WEIGHT DRAINED in his last 3 fights, even if he's lost a step of pace, NOT BEING WEIGHT DRAINED will cancel that out imo.

Hatton wants a high ranked guy. Leonard Bundu, Zaveck, Van Heerden to name a few at 147

To name a few more at 147 Corley and Nate Campbell are highly ranked and off good wins

Think these are the kind of opponents

Welterweight division is poor. Hatton was a big weight cutter to make 140.

    147 is fine.

Everyone needs to forget about him being a top 5 fighter again and then you won't be disappointed.

Back with Shannon?? Based on what? Sannon was seen in his gym in one picture on twitter along with one of his fighters, i know Hatton stated a while back he would like Shannon in his corner but for someone coming back to supposedly fight for world titles i don't think Bob Shannon would be wise in any capacity, especially with that ****ing hair do lol
