    reading the boards there's been a lot of talk of hatton being a bum etc.... but lets give respect to the man on this thread. the fight went exactly as i thought it would, with ricky eating left hooks and straights coming in. but i admire his courage, tenacity and heart for staying in there as the mismatch became clear. my name might be on the hatton hate wagon, for the reason of me not being a fan of his hit and hold style, but i respect for the man for his qualities. if the fight was great it was because hatton brought out the best in floyd and vice versa. also a lot of respect for floyd being a gentleman after thefight praising hatton and his fans. he should be like this more often.

    Exactly. Floyd is the better fighter, no doubt, and deserves massive respect, but so does Hatton.

    If Floyd looked good tonights its coz he knew he was facing a guy with heart, pride passion and determination. He knew he could no coast to a victory, he had to be at his brilliant best to get by Hatton. I'm a hatton fan and I'm gutted that Ricky lost, but he won Floyd's respect so he should have ours.

    Much love and respect for a man who gave it his all against the best, whilst being at a disadvantage from the start, believing to the bitter end, working harder than anyone could have thought possible, willing himself with a lot of faith that the seemingly impossible can be achieved...

    No, he looked great early. I knew we'd have excuses from YOU.

    Take a lesson from some of the other classy UK fans, and credit Ricky for having more class than you, shut your face! it was a good night for boxing and your man got caught. cry me a river.

    Hatton gave it his best shot but was beaten by the best boxer in the world. It is no surprise.
