It's such a shame that you people know nothing about the sacrifices Ricky has made for his fighters.

Since being a trainer he has taken two obscure Eastern Europeans from virtual poverty to comfort, European titles and high world rankings.

As a promoter he took Scott Quigg and Martin Murray from small hall fights in the north-west to world title class. Not to mention paid multiple fighters the kind of purses that allowed them to quit their day jobs and go full-time as pros.

Before Sky made the highly criticised move to one promoter, Ricky promoted some of the best cards on the channel including the 2012 fight of the year. That same year, he promoted a sell-out comeback bill at the MEN that featured four more title fights. What other promoter would put those title fights on when they didn't need to because the show was already sold out?

On top of that, he has taken Lucas Browne from Aussie title level (where he was getting paid very little) to the top ten of three world bodies with much bigger purses to boot.

Ask yourself this, if Ricky is such a bad promoter, which other promoter would get a boxer a fight on another promoter's show and pay him world title money for an eight rounder out of his own pocket? Ricky's has done this to keep a fighter busy in the past.

If you knew the facts about what Ricky does for his lads you wouldn't be so critical. You're currently judging him on the back of one highly controversial result. I can't blame you, you aren't aware of the facts.
