I think I've read a few times on here people saying Hatton's style might not have been suited for the amateurs. I found this video of him when he must have been 16 or 17 at most; as I believe he turned pro at 18. This is him boxing for his high school. Interesting how the rules are different from the US to the UK; at least back then their gloves didn't have white knuckles on them.

Even then, you can see the shades of the Hatton we have now-look at his body punching and movement.

He actually started off as a kickboxer, but his limbs were to short to go anywhere with it and he went to boxing.

He was a Welterweight back then yet thinks Welter doesn't suit him as a pro.

Hold on. Let me see if I've understood this correctly..................if you're a dippitt American and you say that someone 'ain't ****' it actually means they ARE ****'? Therefore if an American Idiot( I must write a song about that:huh ) says someone IS **** it must mean they're quite good really?

    Right, I think I have that!!! I'M SO **** IT'S UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!:happy

for reals....when fools say that mexicans just brawl shows their lack of knowledge.....when i think of mexican fighters, i think of finito, the marquez bros, chavez, mijares, montiel, martin and jose luis castillo, humberto soto etc etc....the closest we come to brawlers right now are margarito and arce, and even they show more skill than fighters like soliman, or mayorga who really are brawlers .....and those fighters i named are as of recent.....we still got some og mexicans that have that same style.......

if you compare their blood and guts style of fighting, then i can agree to some extent, but that blood and guts **** is blown way out of proportion too....any race or ethnicity can have a couple of blood and guts warriors...
