i get what ur saying but wat im getting at they are giving there veiws on how to beat wlad.but only saying he uses 2 punches which is utter tripe.they are also giving them impression the man had no movement and that he cant do a little feinting of his own..i think they are all wrong anyway..any1 can have a gd jab weve seen lots of them in the sport but combined with great timing they are deadly unfortunotly for haye wlad has a great jab with great timing..also the main factor in it all is they are thinking wlad is slower than he really is

I found it pretty strange that Nelson (the guy play Wlad) would keep insisting on Wladimir going to the body.In my experiencing of watching Wlad, I rarely see him go down there.

In regards to the game-plans, Barry and Ricky (the first two) were favouring a more aggressive approach – something which I disagree with. They seem convinced that Haye has no other chance other than to go for a knockout, and the sooner he does it, the better he’ll be. I don’t agree with this because I think they’ll be playing right into Wladimir’s hands. Steward, the other day in a SkySports interview, said they’re expecting Haye to come all guns blazing in the first few rounds.

So I have to go with Jim’s (the third one) idea. Remaining cautious and getting the feeling and timing of Wlad’s left, will help him later on when he has a better sense of attacking at the right time. Applying similar tactics to the Valuev fight is the way forward for Haye I think. But he'll need to be more aggressive when he explodes with those quick, powerful bursts. I may sound like a broken record, but I think the tactics that Pascal applied against Dawson, would work well.

Ricky Hatton is seriously only 31? I find it almost sad how much he's let himself go...

I agree with Jim Watt here. If I was Haye I would not want to block any jabs, one or two might get through and even if one knocks him off balance the right could follow through quickly. Those jabs break up good fighters. Haye needs to move and keep away from the jab, if he does this he gets tired and will probably lose on points. There is only one way Haye wins this... coming in fast, hard and early looking for a quick KO, a quick mugging of Wlad.

Haye's not going to risk taking any shots from Wlad, they meet centre of the ring, Wlad looks for the jab, I expect him to maybe throw the right a little earlier this fight, Haye's moving, feinting, Haye breaks down the distance and Wham.....

I cannot believe Hatton and Nelson reckon he should block the jab, he'll punch through Haye if he tries that tactic for too long!

Really cannot wait for this fight now.

Watt had the best plan. But should've mentioned footwork and allowing haye to contro
The range rather wlad. If wlad gets into rhythm and controls the range it'll be a very long night, with pizza at the end

If Barry McGoogan had caught Nelson with that hook, Nelson would be on his back. Right now, if they fought, McGoogan wins easily. Which means Haye will win as well.

Of those suggested, Watt had the right plan. It will be an upscaled version of his tactics against Valuev - more aggressive too.

This is interesting. I don't like Hatton's idea of trying to push forward, catch the jab and then counter...too risky. (I do like his emphasis on feinting, though.) Barry's idea is slightly more feasible -- he also advocates feinting, but also throwing the counter WHILE Klit is throwing the jab, in the 'stop hit' style, rather than the catch-then-counter plan Hatton wanted. Haye has the speed and timing to do this. The problem is that this is again quite risky, as Haye could easily walk straight into a right hand.

Watt's plan of going on the back foot and leaning away from the jab is interesting. On one hand, I like the idea of trying to frustrate Wlad like that, and it also serves to maybe make him overextend himself after a few missed jabs, which would be the perfect time for Haye to set him up with a big right hand. Haye is good at that, too -- he loves timing jabs and coming over the top with his right. The problem is compensating for that reach and height disadvantage...Haye will have to punch upwards a little too, which always drains your power. Out of all the strategies, I guess Watt's seems the least risky in terms of avoiding getting hurt, but I'm not sure how successful it will be in regard to actually hitting and hurting Wlad. Hard to tell.

Nice video, but Haye absolutely must use more headmovement than he has in any previous fight, & none of them realised that. Haye cannot block the heavy jab of Wlad when it's put into "ramrod" mode.

Wlads jab is a wrecking ball, its not just a rangefinder.I honestly think Haye will be shocked by how fast, hard and accurate Wlads punches are,and i don't think he has the engine to run or engage for more than 3 or 4 rounds.
If i was Haye,i'd just jump on Wlad from the first bell,if he lets Wlad take the centre of the ring, and start boxing he's doomed.Having said all this i think he's doomed regardless. If he bull rushes Wlad, then Wlad will just smother and lean on him,and having somebody of that size leaning on you will tire Haye very quickly.
I only see one outcome in this fight, and thats when rather than if.

EVERYTIME Mcguigan and Watt are on together, they disagree. Always find it funny.

I really don't think Haye should try and claim the center of the ring because his speed, skills and athleticism can allow him to fight otherwise. If he spends too much time focusing on claiming the center, Wlad will hug him too much while having a more effective jab.

If Haye is mobile around the ring, Wlad most likely won't have an effective jab as he also needs to plant his feet to land it properly, at least most of the time.

So it should be constant movements while staying somewhat low, to change Wlad's pace and direction, followed by quick and powerful bursts like Jean Pascal has fought in his last couple of fights.

The difference here is that Haye is more skilled with a better ring IQ than Pascal, therefore he can make those bursts pay off, being more meaningful and at the right time.

Also, Wlad has no answer defensively for guys that come inside besides holding. If David applies those bursts at the correct time and doesn't stay static there when he hits Wlad, then I'm sure he can get Wladdy confused and somewhat gunshy.

All in all, it should be constant movement with no preset rythmns and using the speed and power to surprize Wlad with quick in and out bursts to score and possibly stun him.

The whole thing was hilariously bad...sorry boys i respect you were all pro boxers but it just goes to show they haven't got a clue.

Ricky just inst intelligent ...pawing a 6'7 245 pound Wladimir Jab is suicide...and consider that Haye has never be known to do this...i just cant see him all of sudden at the end of his carrer start to paw jabs etc.

Ricky physically was ok when fighting but his boxing brain was awful and it shows.

Barry I see what he is on about BUT that is literally what Mike Tyson, Frazier would do...yet again David is to long, for this and has never done this style before...so for Barry to be on about what he should do ... and start to bob and weave, slip then punch as a game plan for Haye is yet again sucide. Both Wladimir and Haye have adopted styles around strengths and weakness both men are not even in the top 50 for being able to take a punch so both men will NOT i repeat NOT slug it out EVER.

They will both peck at each other, darting in and out especially Haye whilst Wlad wil dart in and out but also clinch alot more.

Watt tactic was more suited for Haye as it is what David employs when fighting taller men, he fights with a low centre of gravity, on the back foot...postioning his head slighly forward to bring on his opponents first shot..he then either moves it back or to the side and explodes with big right hands or left hooks....he tends to not bother with the jab when fighting taller men.

Haye in 2008 would have beaten Wlad...but today i think Wlad wins...Haye isnt busy enough, and pot shots or if you will power pot shots which is what Haye does isnt going to be enough. The main thing i have with it, is to low a volume...and Wlad sense of timing and distance is enough to cover up, move back, stick his left jan out or clinch when Haye does eventually swing.

At the same time Wlad constant jabbing wont be effective untill later where i see david eating more and more jabs.
