I think Watt had the better plan.

With Ricky's I just don't think Haye's going to find anything there if he tries slipping right and following it with a straight right...Wlad has an excellent habit of keeping his left straight up.

It might be worth doing in the later rounds if Haye has early success, but with Wlad, you're going to have to keep him off balance so that he isn't setting his feet for that power-jab of his...once he's set in place, he throws that jab, and then takes that half-step back as you lunge in.

Overall, Haye has to give him angles. Keep Wlad from lining you up. And Haye is going to need to up his workrate to for this fight if he wants to keep up with Wlad's perpetual jab.

The other 2 are sending Haye straight to the canvas... freakin' brilliant. Maybe they placed a bet on Wlad to win this, try to confuse Haye or something.

I don't say Jim's strategy will work, but I think it has the best chance by a country mile. The rest is British bullocks! :deal

Barry is a bit of bully i use to cringe when he use to pick on John Thaxton, when they had John in doing a bit of commentary uneasy viewing.

 

Baz and Rick basically said how THEY would fight him, not how Haye should fight him based on his attributes.

Jim had the right idea. Haye must stay out of range of the jab thus limiting the chances of the right landing.

Frustrate wlad into leaving himself open

Psyche him by getting on the back foot big time then open up in bursts, but with 100% commitment (like Jim stated) He needs to do this from the word go to prevent wlad getting into any kind of rhythm.

He needs the Valuev strategy with triple the aggression. He has nothing to lose.

 

Why on earth Ricky was saying Haye should block the jab is beyond me, terrible advice.

 

Thankyou Tully...that what they said...which makes me think they are thick...as the whole point was how SHOULD HAYE fight him.

First off...i would have made Nelson stick his left hand out slightly and then tell him to SNAP that jab out...and we all know Haye will move of the back foot...he wont fight in close with Wlad.

 

Watt had the right game plan, or at least kind of. Haye will have to use Tysonesque movement. He has to stay low and come under WKs jab and then explode on top.

This takes away a taller fighters power because he has to punch down, thus making his punch less effective.

 

nice watch! made me excited for this fight more and wonder if haye can actually chop wlad and would he fight head-on or move back while wlad is jabbing.
