Billy Graham understands Ricky Hatton's style, i totally disagree that Ricky Hatton looked better in his last few fights. That intensity and voilent style had totally totally gone.

I think Hatton should have gone with a world class trainer way earlier in his career when he could have learnt something. He realised too late and was too stuck in his ways.

People don't want to 'admit' it because it's not true, it's just a failed attempt at trolling.

His mental state going into the fight would deffo have been better. All the tactics in the world are useless if you walk into the ring a beaten man already.

Listen he looked ok against Mayweather without really hurting or hitting floyd. Floyd figured his style out during the fight BOOM hattin is KOed.

Now every boxer will know how to fight him now and with HATTON punch resistance at an all time low, how is he going to use his old style to win fights? When as soon as he gets tagged and HE WILL using that style he will be all over the place. Once HATTON is tagged he is awful at tyring to recouparate he is all over the place.

He has an good career at the top. Will he want to contine at the 2nd tier or 3rd tier of fighters that is up to him. Because if he trys to get to the top again he will be stopped before he trys again.

When he got knocked down twice in the 1st round whats wrong with putting yer hands up and just feel yourself back into the fight its 12 rounds for gods sake. Looks like he does not think at all in the ring and just rushes in and trys to break you down. Cant be done anymore once his punch resistance has gone.

Can go on for ever but I wont haha

After the Malignaggi fight people were praising Hatton for his 'new' measured approach. There's a tendency for people to over study the permutations but the fact is Hatton was outclassed.

I suspect Hatton is untrainable at this point

By that I mean he has now fallen out - not just parted company, literally fallen out - with 2 trainers in 3 fights

Maybe he thinks he knows best

Look at Pac, he could easily act up, but he listens to Roach and executes what Roach asks him to execute

It's just my hunch but I think Ricky just got slightly big for his boots and forgotten the hard work, humility and dedication that had got him success in the first place

I am an HATTON fight but its GAME OVER for him now, I doubt he will get to the top of an tree and even win an belt from one of the better guys in his divison.

Good post. I also think that maybe Hatton was literally incapable of doing some of the things Floyd asked him to do. I think Hatton has actually over achieved during his career. A loss like this has been waiting to happen.

Absolutely spot on, I don't know what Hatton was thinking trading wildly in that second round.

    Complete lack of ring savvy.
