The old saying goes you can't teach an old dogs new tricks and that what exactly happen in the ring. As the opening bell rang he just went back to his old style and IMOP I knew he was going to be doom in within 5 rounds. No head movement, hands lows, coming in with your face, and trying to slug it out with puncher. I'm sorry but you can't put the blame oin Mayweather Sr. because his job was to train Hatton and that exactly what he did. All the stuff that Hatton learned just went right through the roof. If a fighter is not going to take what he learned in camp do you blame the trainer ! I'm sorry to say But Ricky was not that good of a fighter that people out to be and I was hoping he would change his style when Sr. train him but I guess you cant teach and old dog new tricks !!!!!!

Can't blame Sr. Whatever strategy Hatton wanted to use, he didn't even get a chance to start.

well you cant blame Ricky Hatton either. A fighter goes off instinct, thus he's going to fight the way he's used to fighting. You can't completely change a fighter with a few months of training.
