well he was out boxed for 10 round, then KOed, then he ran into a ring post .. Id say floyd made an example out of him..
Hatton can **** off. Floyd started out at 130, 2 divisions below Hatton. When Floyd was at 140 Hatton, his trainer and Warren openly said they werent ready to face Floyd. Floyd then went up to 147 and became the linear champion, then jumped to 154 and beat Oscar. Hatton finally wanted to fight Floyd so they met at 147, where Hatton had previously fought Collazo at. It makes sense instead of PBF going from 154 back down to 140. Hatton is just a jealous crybaby.
I know right... I mean, his whole entire career, he never fought one Funeka like opponent. Forrest would have given him the beatin of his life.
imo, a guy like that could beat mayweather, a guy like paul williams. but other then williams, who nobody wants a part of, what tall, slick boxer, with a good jab did you want him to fight? because by the time mayweather got to 147, vernon forest wasnt an elite after losing by mayorga twice
I concur. It really will damage his credibility if the rumours surrounding M.Hatton are true. Poor Shane's been waiting ages to find a dance partner, I'm sure Floyd back then could have arranged something. Whilst I admit he never anticipated Pac's decision to run for president in May, there are still plenty of other tough Welterweights who I'm sure would love to fight him. Joshua Clottey at least is a nice, tough, durable fighter. But M.Hatton? C'mon Floyd, you really are taking the **** now. First you pick on a man who's 2/3 weight divisions smaller than you before cheating him on the weight, now you're looking to fight a European level fighter???
Williams isn't even a tall slick boxer. He's a swarmer who happens to be huge for his weight. He doesn't box behind the jab, doesn't have great defense, and gives away his height far too often. There is literally no one out there around Floyd's weight that he could fight that has the attributes of a Vernon Forrest. Forrest was way past his best by the time Floyd came up. I agree that a fighter like that would be a new test for Floyd and could very well beat him, but it's ******ed to complain that he hasn't fought guys that simply don't exist right now.
Ricky turned pro in 1997 at 140 lbs. Mayweather turned pro in 1998 at 130 lbs. Ricky also thinks a fight between he and Hoya would be just as big as a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
Bull****. Hatton wasn't no little guy. He would balloon up 10-15 pounds after the weigh in. He ducked mayweather when they were both at 140 becasue he said he wasn't ready (he woulnd't be ready for Mayweather in a lifetime). Marquez is the only fighter out of 40 fights where Mayweather was the bigger fighter. In every other situation Mayweather was the same size, and in a lot of cases the smaller fighter.
