i thought he was rocked a few times by lazcano. not to mention floyd isnt known to be a big puncher and manny was never really known to be a one punch artist. Lets not even bring paulie into the equation and it seems like the biggest puncher he faced was KT. I remember alot of holding in that fight so it may have contributed to him lasting through some of those shots. Hell even when lazcano hurt him he would hold on to dear life. Even got some assistance from the ref who kept talking to lazcano.

Totally agree, people now pick guys like bradley or campbell to walk over hatton. Often people forget that their is a vast difference in the quality of a fighter between Active ATG in pacquiao and possibly Mayweather and the likes of Bradley. I still think hatton picks up numerous belts at 140, maybe even unifies.

Exactly right. Fighters get dropped once an idiots start calling them Chinny.

I mean come on whatever you think of the guy his beard is beyond question!

He has had a good beard during his career. Against mayweather he would have continued had he not cracked his skull on the ring corner poll.

good comments bro,the punches and punch that pac knocked him out with woudl have knocked most fighters out,so i don t think his resitance has gone,i think against pac his tenancity wasnt there, and looked slower than usual the hitman that fought pbf woudl have taken manny the distance im not saying he would have won but he woudl have been far more competitive, most on this forum have no idea adn say hatton is shot, will see later this year

he DID have great resistance- but chins dont last forever - and the damage it took has taken its toll on hatton today.

look at roy- pre 2005 people would say roy had an all time chin- he d never been dropped or hurt and he fought some punchers. but once it was broken - it stayed broken.

margarito s an even better example. but the cotto fight definetely took something out of tonys chin as well- and mosely finished the job.

didnt pac say the punch he ko'd hatton with was the hardest punch he's ever landed? pretty sure he did. no shame in getting iced by that. he doesnt necessarily have an atg chin but its not glass either.

Nah, i dont think his chin is bad at all. Look, he walked into multiple perfectly timed right hands from the best fighter in the game, and it took a perfect hook to take him out.

He was fighting pac like a ******, throwing punches and not bringing them back to his chin (dude thats what they teach you NOT to do on the first day). Pac caught him cold walking in with his hands down in the first round. So hatton was basically ****ed, it also dosent help that pac has better power than floyd.

Hatton has by no means a bad chin people. He can take shots and fight on from most fighters. HOWEVER, when you charge foward, with your hands down, and a punch you cant see hits you on the chin with PERFECT timing from a professional who put his whole body weight into it :-(

I dont care if your super man, your getting KTFO

His punch resistance has fallen since Collazo, and the better fighters he was facing.

Collozo did "beat" Hatton in my opinion, and showed the way to beat him. The fact that Hatton was stunned and hurt many times v Collozo is one of the reasons Floyd came out of 'retirement' the first time to fight him.

I think his resistance weakened after his first ko loss. He took some wicked shots from Tszyu, and then had trouble with some shots from Urango (although they were more body shots than head shots) and Lazcano.

Hatton has an abysmal fragile Glass Jaw now. His punch resistance is totally gone. If he continues to fight he will get brutally KOed over and over.
