I remember Hatton was REELING at the end of the fight with light hitting Collazo.

Ricky Hatton was also a dirty fighter, look at the Kosta Tszyu fight, he got a away with a lot in that bout amongst many others. Ricky is being hypocritical here, & I'm a UK fan.

Hatton got stitched up simple and plain. There's no ambiguity about that whatsoever. Deep down even the Flo-Emo's know he stood no chance on the outside and that Cortez was Floyd's tag-team partner and it was 2 vs 1 albeit they'd never publicly admit it. The but Hatton is a dirty fighter argument holds zero weight because Joe ''Watch Those Elbows, Floyd'' Cortez allowed the filthiest fighter in the game B-Hop to foul the crap out of Calzaghe on the inside just five months earlier.

I was rooting hard for Tszyu the Fearless Road Warrior when he ventured over Hatton's backyard where everything was stacked against him and I have no problem admitting that Kostya was facing two men in the ring that night so I don't see why the Flo-Emos can't just be honest enough to concede that Hatton was too when he fought Floyd.

Gets knocked out by a guy who doesn’t knock anyone out...blames the ref. What next, is he gonna blame beer and donuts for being fat?

I m still not sure hatton was all that bad against tyszu. He grappled inside. But both men always tried to get their shots off in close. They fought their way out.

Theres ways to counteract that as an opponent. Doesnt look like tyszu wanted to tbh...seemed quite happy fighting up close. He could have moved away or jabbed hatton incoming etc.

Think he hit tyszu once well below the belt but was pretty much in retaliation for tyszu hitting him a couple of times low. Albeit rickys was a good bit lower...should defo have had a point off for it. Apart from that ricky basically excerted his style on tyszu....and tbh tyszu seemed just as happy fighting that way.

On the other hand hatton had no chance of outboxing floyd on the outside. Thats pretty much what he was asked to do.

He felt cheated because he got outclassed and lost for the first time. Cortez did stop him from working close at times but it wouldn’t have mattered he would have never beaten Floyd. Floyd was too smart for him and let’s face it Hatton was one dimensional and very predictable with his bad habits. He should never have left 140 where he had advantages over a lot of guys. His biggest win was against a faded all time great who he caught at the right time.

I didn't see the check hook, I did see the ref trip Hatton and push him head first into the corner oost.

There is nothing different which could have been done which would have altered the result.

Yeah I remember watching that too and thinking how lucky Hatton was to get that decision. But you never hear anybody claiming a robbery there. Was Collazo robbed?

That was also Hatton's first match at Welterweight. I think this shows how vulnerable Hatton was at 147. Collazo was his only win ever at Welterweight, and a suspect one at that. Like you said he was reeling at the end. He barely survived 12 rounds. But then after that he dropped back down to 140 to face Urango and Castillo and looked great. Then he went back up to 147 to fight Mayweather and lets face it he didn't look too good.

Then after losing to Mayweather, he went back down to 140 to fight Lazcano and Malignaggi. Again looked great in those two bouts. See a trend here? He did then go on to lose to Pacquiao at 140 but that was prime Pacquiao. The point is, Hatton never really had any success at 147. And his only loss ever at 140 was to prime Pacquiao.

He wasn't robbed against Collazo. The early knockdown was the difference.

I'm not saying he was robbed, I'm asking if anyone thought Collazo was. Yes the knockdown was big, and I didn't have a problem with Hatton winning at the time but I remember being surprised at how much he struggled vs Collazo. Hatton was wobbled in the 12th round if I recall.
