These sparring videos are quite funny, especially around 30 secs when Manny nearly takes Khan's head off then backs off.

Take a note: Since these first sparings between Manny and Khan Roach has not let them spar again. Most people said Khan got the better of Manny on most days back then right after Khan got KO by Prescott.

I think Manny would knock Khan out, all this "Khans quick" - "khans got boxing skills" - "Hes Flashy" - "He holds his own is sparring" talk is madness.......

Sparring is sparring, It's a routine of learning, u go into sparring looking to learn, looking to pick new things up, with a learning head on...... not a fighting vicious mean killer adrenaline pumping head, sparring is nothinggggggggg.

Amir Khan holds his own in sparring, probably coz he try's his ****ing heart out!!

Hes giving it 150% while Manny's just getting used to the new style, basically taking it easy, like he did on Cotto lol.... gave the boy MERCY........Manny's a man eater, he'd batter the **** out of Khan....

Mannys not fighting, Maybe hes trying to polish up on his boxing skills...... Maybe hes trying to improve Khan as a fighter, build his confidence up !! After the KO loss

Manny has shown evidence he is that sort of man!!

You can't be serious, Khan is talented and all but Manny would end his career, these are the facts of life.

i wish him well i dont hope he gets KO'd TBH i know the path he chooses is an inevitable 1 leading to defeat and eventual retirement perhaps at an early age, in every single fight he has from now on what chance is there he isnt going to get hurt? what are the chances salita wont hurt him? as far as i'm concerned his punch resistence is still suspect and any decent fighter he faces will always have a big punchers chance regardless of KO % i dont hate out of spite its just common sense something ur nuthugging fails to comprehend

    Darni187 is getting carried away
Let's not forget Khan is wearing headgear in sparring!

At the end of the day Darni loves Khan big time, fair enough, he is obviously a huge fan, same as Mr Magoo. But fact speak louder than these two, Khan got handled easily by Manny in sparring thats why they dont spar anymore?! Khan HAS got speed and talent (oh that was sore) but a Manny he aint and will probably never be.

Prime v Prime Hatton would go through Khan, right now Khan has the edge.

Now enough of telling me he is gonna be an all time great until he fights someone of note, we can have this discussion in a couple of years when he has fought great fighters, who knows you may be right?:thumbsup

Everything needs to be put into perspective, I personally dont believe Khan has reached his peak just yet so improvements should still be coming and hopefully we learn a little more about these from the next fight. Bottom line is, he is now a World Champ, you HAVE to give SOME kudos to him for acheiving this just 3 fights after getting well and truly KTFO off a complete unknown. If it was a known fighter perhaps the damage may have been less in terms of his credibility. Whether or not the title shot was deserved or not is a totally different issue, its boxing we are dealing with, hardly the shining beacon of light for anti-corruption and following of rules!! A huge mass of people were saying the lad would NEVER become a World Champ, this he has done, by hook or crook, with the help of Frank Warren. The way I see it now, is people are now just moaning that he wont reach the next level of being a World Champ. So first it was 'He wont be a World Champ', now its 'He wont unify the division'.

its not that im a huge fan or i love him or anything like that i just think khan gets a lot of unfair criticsm on these boards. Hes done alot for a kid who is only 22, sure he says some things which are arrogant but being a boxer he has to big himself up. Everyone does it, floyd, haye, hatton, murray, etc etc. By no means have i ever insinuated hes great or that he will be, i just feel he hasnt hit anywhere near his peak and feel sorry for him a bit that the criticism he gets is mainly due to decisions made by warren rather than his boxing skill

just like limmond, just like gome, earl, lawton, murray, thaxton, barrera, kotelnik and salita will do yh.

pointless discussion regarding pacman, they'll never fight anyway, khan has said hes not in his league and wouldnt want to fight him unless he was in his prime which khan clearly isnt at. Atleast it shows hes humble enough to admit hes not on pacs level
