On a UK documentary they mentioned Hatton leg pressing 1200LBS this seems an awful lot, does this sound right?!
Well, it is pretty good for a 140 something pound guy to move that much weight. of course it's on a leg press machine, and we don't know how far Rick moved it, if it was a full range of motion.I see guys in the gym moving weights a few inches and count it as a lift, so it depends. If someone was to tell me Rick squatted 1200 with free weights, even half that much would be amazing.
I used to be able to do that **** years ago, it's nothing like a squat. It's a good amount of weight, but it just says bigger than it really is.
Which is OK actually. You want to hit the fast twitch muscles and boost up your metabolism. Plus full press can cause knee injury.
Yeah he pumped 1200lbs with his thighs but christ he did it like 10 times or something. It is still very impressive for a 5'6 BOXER (he isn't a body builder) to get 1200lbs off that leg press is very impressive. And you're going to lift for boxing you have to do it smart. What does Ricky need to bring that weight down to his ass for? Thats what his jumping exercises are for. His thighs are extremely powerful and thats what he wants.
Its F ALL, he couldnt do 400lbs on a full squat, he might not be able to do 3plates on a full squat, leg press is for sissys
