Ricky is live on popular saturday morning live TV programme Soccer Am which is quite a light hearted programme which has comedy sketches and interviews musicians, actors & sportsmen...some of the comments he came out with...

    1) moaning about cortez, saying floyd was elbowing, forearm smashing and ducking below the waistline

    2) said it was level after 6, but hatton lost his head because of Cortez

    3) said that PBF told him after the fight that after 6 rounds he was 'terrified'

    4) said it was obvious cortez was against him when counted to ten '2,4,6,8,10'

    5) said they are in discussions with camp mayweather about a rematch but needs to redeem himself by beating Lazcano & Malignalli

    6) says he hopes the rematch will be in England, and he doesnt mind fighting at 147 again

    :-(
Hatton has cut an especially sad and deluded character since getting beat up and knocked out by PBF. Those things he's saying may fool his idiot fanbase, but not boxing fans.

**** Hatton. I always thought he was a good guy but a loss is what it took for him to show his true colours.

indeed, though many saw straight through him a long time ago.
The guy is a tiresome pain in the ass. He believed his own hype and really thought he was better than a B class fighter, totally deluded.

Anyone called Ricky Hatton that says "People love Ricky Hatton because Ricky Hatton is modest" without a hint of irony are going to be an irritating character.

Hang on, so you know that Mayweather never said to Hatton that he was terrified?

You talk to Mayweather a lot then, twat?

I'd love to know how you know this. I'd definitely back Hatton's viewpoint over yours considering Hatton knows FM quite well and you don't leave your bedroom.

Fair enough, I dont know whether he said it or not but anyone who knows anything about Mayweather knows he has a huge ego and would never admit to being scared. You can pull me up on that one but you're the ****wit who said all 6 points made by Hatton were true. Its obvious that you're just another Hatton nuthugger who probably knows **** all about boxing and is still whinging about Hattons loss.

You argued with points you can't argue with.

Who knows what Mayweather has said to Hatton behind closed doors.

None of us know this, it's stupid to argue those points.

As for the level after 6 rounds comment, it was 3 - 3 or Hatton 4 - 2 down, it was a close fight after 6 rounds definitely.

He's right that Floyd was elbowing, bending down, punching and holding, forearm smashing etc.

And 5 and 6 go without saying, there is talk of a rematch, Hatton does need to beat Malignaggi and Lazcano and Hatton's opinion of what weight and location can't be wrong.

As I said, no point arguing any of what he said, it's all true.

Jesus Christ, how clear is it that some of this is him joking? He did the same after the fight on UK TV when he said "I slipped" and started laughing.

He goes on Soccer Am which is a joke style show with banter etc and says "I knew he was against me when he started counting 2,4,6,8....

And people on here who did not even see it, take it as a genuine excuse.:patsch

Some of the other stuff is excuse making and him trying to convince himself he would have a chance in a rematch, but the more outrageous stuff is a JOKE.

The problem is that he's made so many frankly ridiculous and lame excuses that it's hard to tell if he's joking or not. Sure he was joking when he said he slipped, but he certainly was not joking when he said his fans booing the US anthem must've pissed off Cortez, blaming Cortez in general, the weight issue and having the nerve to accuse his opponent of dirty tactics and fouling....that really is rich coming from him.
He's the stereotype of the whinging pom. Complete pain in the arse and he's become a joke.
